Re: OT:Good Calories, Bad Calories....
I get a lot of recipes off of youtube. That's how I happenstance on the other stuff. First of all, youtube is not the first place to go to find reliable information based on reliable research. I wholeheartedly agree with that <sniffle> I must now go drown my sorrows in a heart-healthy steak-and-twin...

Re: OT:Good Calories, Bad Calories....
It's how it's ground. My brother explained it to me a long time ago and can't quite remember how. If I buy ground beef at walmart, I buy the cubes. It acts a lot more normal. I generally though, go to the other grocery store for ground beef. I also get the lean or extra lean ground beef so hopefully...

Celery tastes horrible!!!! Whole grains vs. no grains, meat vs. no meat, etc. I'm going to just stop eating all controversial food items until this is all sorted out. I'll be eating celery. I haven't heard anyone say anything negative about celery. And spinach. Who can say anything bad about spinach...

First of all, youtube is not the first place to go to find reliable information based on reliable research. If you research diets on youtube, you will find support for low carb, low fat, vegan, vegetarian, saturated fat is good, saturated fat is bad, olive oil is good, olive oil is bad, glycemic loa...

I'm not sure what would be considered a normal response to stopping drinking would be. I commend you for stopping drinking. That is definitely a step in the right direction!!! I would also say that since this pattern has gone on for 2 months, you might need a new sleep study. Honestly though, I woul...

Re: 100 Days in, now time for adjustments?
Humidity in MS is high, high, high most of the time, summer, spring, winter or fall as it says in the song. I keep my humidity 4/5 right now. I'm hoping that as the allergy season wains, I can drop my humidity down to 2 or 3/5. I think mostly it depends on you. If you aren't having any particular pr...

I'm not an expert per se but I've spent a lot of time of late trying to lose weight and have explored most plans. Too much red meat is probably not good due to high amounts of saturated fat which is the worst kind of fat and are known to clog your arteries. Now me, I figure nothing is really too bad...

Re: CPAP HELP!!
I'm not sure what you are feeling more than just being unused to cpap therapy. It does take some time. Things that might help is to ramp although with 4 being the lowest pressure, there isn't much ramping the machine can do up to 6. You may be fighting the machine. Having air blow up your nose is a ...

Well, uh, someone has to draw a paycheck?? Why do we need a division of agriculture in the middle of Chicago. Oh, yes, I know the answer. It is incredibly difficult to grow corn on sidewalks. Somebody has to solve that problem!!! So everyone understands that raw milk doesn't taste good, "is gross", ...

Re: POLL: How long until you started feeling better
I must say that is the most unique way of saying I feel like S%#$*&^*( I have ever heard. I checked the first one, since my horrible, multiple wake-ups stopped right away; and I no longer felt like the 'brown on the ground that the hound puts down'. Actually 'feeling better' has been an ongoing proc...

Re: POLL: How long until you started feeling better
I felt better after 3 weeks. If I'd had the right mask for me, it probably would have been much sooner. Started with a nasal mask. Found out I was even more claustophobic than I thought I was. I didn't realize even that there are different masks and because of what my brother went through and how si...

Is your nose stuffy? If so, your humidity may need to go up. I run mine 4 out of 5 cuz of sinus problems. YMMV (Your mileage may vary), but I get horrible headaches in the morning if my humidity has been bumped and is too low, or I've run out of water. I hope this helps someone. I've never run out o...

I wonder why they call it laughing gas. I was not amused at any point in time

Re: OSA and dental procedure under 'twilight sedation'
I have had troubles with my teeth for a long time and finally, about a year & 1/2 ago, I decided to get dentures. I still had 20 of my own natural teeth in varying states of disrepair, including 4 crowns, 4 broken teeth. I just didn't think I could handle the teeth pulling thing wide awake and so di...
