Re: Apap as home test ?
Being an Apap, if set to factory defaults, won't I see the start of any apneas anyhow regardless of the settings? (Assuming the minimum is 4 and 4 is not enough to treat). He's trying it finally tonight. Next challenge will be his beard needless to say it's a nonissue for me with mine. When he tried...

Apap as home test ?
My insurance no longer covers sleep apnea or sleep related issues. Any major reason my husband can't use my spare apap to test himself for sleep apnea? I know it's not as thorough but if on a low max he has acceptable amounts of apneas it could at least rule him out right?

Suddenly getting red blotchy skin
Never had this in my 8 yrs of cpap. I use the hybrid mask for the last 6 months but this last month I've been suddenly getting red blotchy skin on my chin where it makes contact. It doesn't go away with moisturizers. I'm wondering if maybe since it's Spring (here in Michigan that means increase in h...

Re: APAP - switching from s8 to s9

Like the pressure wasn't normal. I recall trying to up the pressure some and not having much success. I do see this has EPR I'...

Re: Stomach cramps in the middle of the night
I use to get aerophagia really bad from my machine. Switching to an apap helped me so much. Now I only get all that air when I need it, so less air swallowed = less pain. I also found that my post nasal drip history causes me to swallow more at night, so I try to remember to use my nasal steroid too...

padacheek didnt work now what?
Mask seals when humidifier is down, but then I dry out. When I try turning it up Seal doesn't hold. Tried ear plug material, tried padacheek liner, neither worked. Liner let too much air out, any other ideas for keeping seal throughout the night.

Re: Poll: How Often Do You Clean Your Tank?
If I dont wash my cats and birds water dish regularly it gets a slime like feel on the surface. I figure if I dont wash my tank daily Id be at risk for that same slime, bacteria growth.

Re: CPAPTalk.com Bugs? Tell Our Developers Here.
I havent been on in a very long time. I went to retrieve my name and password with no avail. Has my profile been eliminated from the directory due to lack of use or can I somehow get it back?
