Re: How much is it worth?

Hi there! I did make it through the compliance portion on my "starter" machine can't remember the name -- the little one with the built in alarm clock. After that my doctor (doctor is their own DME) gave me a brand new S9. They said it was "mine" at the time, and my insurance has paid for it in full...

Re: How much is it worth?

We are "watching" them right now.

Taking thyroid hormone replacement and trying to avoid autoimmune attacks.

I feel a lot better, but still bad

How much is it worth?

Hi there! I was a noob here quite awhile ago. Did *NOT* take to CPAP. I didn't accept that mild apnea was the reason behind all my health issues. As it turned out, I was right (though it may turn out different for you). It turned out that I had thyroid issues. Follow-up sleep laps where I didn't hav...

Charged for Download?!

Hi there! So it appears as though my sleep doc has billed my insurance for seeing my respiratory therapist and then AGAIN for the doctor to look at my download. So they send me an after-the-fact bill (months later) saying that the doctor reading the download counts as an office visit and I owe them ...

Re: Can you use APAP nighlty or is it a temporary thing?

I've yet to have a conclusive titration study so I am on APAP permanently -- according to my doctor. Every time they'd get close to a pressure that would help, I'd start the leg twitching or have a central. My range is 7-14. Either my doctor is lying or yours is lying! With other responses here, I t...

Re: OT: Drugs for Migraines

Hi there! For me the only thing that has worked for preventing migraines is a drug called topiramate also known as Topoamax. For me, this drug was both a miracle and a curse. FINALLY -- Migraine free days. Not a SINGLE MIGRAINE while on this medicine -- and I was having them almost daily to the poin...

Re: Need support...

I made it a couple of hours last night, which is about where I left off. Even zonked out of my mind on sleep meds I am STILL wide awake the minute the mask goes on. Just have to knock out -- one by one -- what is making this hard. I have really long really thick hair. Finding a way to put it up with...

Need support...

I stopped trying. I got very very sick with allergies, which turned into walking pneumonia. After that I got the flu. It has been almost two months since I used my machine last. I'm starting all over again and all progress I had made getting used to it (not much more than 2hrs per night, but it was ...

Re: Need help with medical codes....

Checking over my records these dates are close to when I saw the respiratory therapist. I TRIED paying my co-pay those days and they specifically told me NO co-pay unless I see an actual doctor. So it appears as though it is time to call and raise hell. Also requesting my medical info and switching ...

Need help with medical codes....

Before I call my sleep doc and have a hissy fit..... Today I received a bill from them for $50.00. Now, that isn't a ton of money, but it is money I do NOT have. The cost on there looks like this: POS AIRWAY PRESSURE CPA $95.00 and then there are two credits that bring that down to $30. POS AIRWAY P...

CPAP cure insomnia?

I've had severe insomnia since I was---well--- born. My mom always reminds me of the days as a kid just staring at my ceiling or playing with toys quietly while the family slept. As an adult it is "better". I find I can easily fall asleep and sleep for hours if it is the middle of the day (what the ...

Re: Nasal Pillow soreness -- any suggestions?

I'm expecting a Swift FX in the mail shortly. I am hoping their nasal pillows are more rounded and less oblong. I can't go a size down atm as XS is the smallest they have.

It hurts whether I am touching my face or not.

Nasal Pillow soreness -- any suggestions?

I'm not having skin irritation or raw skin, etc or I would get some of the skin relief balms y'all have recommended to others. What I am feeling is hard to describe. It is painful, but not in the same way a bruise/cut or ache would be. For anyone who has worn a ponytail or a hat too long -- when you...

Re: I am very worried and need advice

If your O2 is dropping when you sleep that can most definitely cause really had headaches.

As a migraine sufferer myself I understand how horribly difficult they can be. I am currently off my medication to see if it helps me sleep.

Re: Struggling with compliance....

/embarrassed I already sleep in the buff. With two fans. Ceiling and stationary aimed directly at me. Throwing the covers off comes naturally. I always get hot flashes. I think I may have a thyroid issue but every time I get checked it goes from high back to normal during the re-test a few weeks lat...
