Re: Tonights my first night!!
Wittymomma, Welcome to the club I started out with your setup--I have since had to change masks because of mouth breathing but I definitely recommend the Lansinoh...those nasal "pillows" can really tear up a nose. Sounds like you're set up and ready to go, with a really positive outlook--that's half...

Re: Two Years Later......
What a great post!
Thanks so much for sharing this--I'll definitely remember this when I'm having an "I don't want to!" sort of night.
Happy dreams to you!

Re: Red Mark on Nose Bridge
I tried the medical-grade tape on the bridge of the nose, mask liners, and finally a Gecko pad which I just couldn't get to work. Meanwhile my nose was looking red and raw and rubbed all the time and I was sure people at work were wondering, what the heck is wrong with her nose anyway???? So I dragg...

Re: Mirage Quattro FFM--Gecko or Padacheek???
RetroDave - thanks for the pointer to the fitting tips. I actually followed his demo when I first got the FFM and that was the only way I was able to stop the leaks. I have the "nose dial" dialed all the way out to 24 already, and the top headgear straps loosened up as far as I can without creating ...

Mirage Quattro FFM--Gecko or Padacheek???
My Mirage Quattro FFM is doing a real number on my nose bridge. I've been using 3M Medipore tape but it's not enough. I've perused the forum for a better solution and narrowed it down to the Gecko gel pad or the Padacheek nose protector. I'm wondering, among the Quattro users out there, do you have ...

Re: another sore nose issue
I had great luck with Carmex that comes in a tube. I tried the saline gel first but was still sore and irritated. Slept sooooo comfortably from Night 1 with it. I turned out to be a terrible mouth breather even with a chinstrap and had to change to full face mask, Carmex worked so well I was sad to ...

Re: 1st 30 days--need advice B4 Dr appt
Thanks again everyone. Saw the doc ... he wasn't willing to go to straight CPAP yet, but he lowered the upper end of the range for my a-flex considerably and says we need to work on my sleep consolidation. Apparently the CAs are very short in duration but they're going on like crazy and not helping ...

Re: 1st 30 days--need advice B4 Dr appt
Casey,
I do have problems with light sleeping/fragmented sleeping. I also have problems with latency -- it took me 80 minutes to fall asleep during my first sleep study, and even at home some nights it takes this long.
How did you address this problem?

Re: 1st 30 days--need advice B4 Dr appt
My snore graph is almost zeroed out every night. I think I had 2 whole snores the entire night of 10 December.
I will have to zoom in on the CAs when I get home tonight and can look at SleepyHead.
THANKS!

Re: 1st 30 days--need advice B4 Dr appt
Thanks everyone. I went back and looked at my initial study and my titration study. I had 71 apneas in my original study, 61 centrals and 10 OSAs. In the titration study, I only had 4 apneas, 3 OSAs and 1 central. Now I'm really baffled as to why I'm having so many CAs at home.

1st 30 days--need advice B4 Dr appt
Hi everyone, I've been lurking as a guest the past month and first want to say THANKS for all the great info/advice out here. I've reached the point where I need some advice from the veterans. I'm a little over 30 days on my CPAP, and my AHI numbers aren't anywhere close to where I think they need t...
