I've read on forums that higher pressures help treat centrals and technicians will raise the pressure on a titration study in response to centrals (I think it's IPAP)
anyway sometimes when I set my asv max PS to 10 I wake up feeling terrible instead of 15

Re: oral surgeon suggests major OSA surgery
I wish I had UPPP 2 years ago because I seem to be brain damaged from this terrible disease, I could have avoided all this damage if I found a willing surgeon. but my ENT kept on milking me for money with visits and no surgery

I don't know why you all ignore this evidence that theophylline may help centrals. these are real medical studies. this is a new field so more research is needed

Re: brain damage and exhaustion from csa/osa?
I've tried everything that I've read on this forum and even trying to get surgery. but for some reason I can't get enough therapy on the asv machine still so I don't know why people keep attacking me and ruining my threads for no reason? this is a free forum and I can post whatever I want aren't we ...

Re: Worried about compliance
Does this nasal mask work if you have a deviated septum? I have one and the nasal didn't seem to work that well. anyway I think the ramp feature on phillips machines is one of the most important factors in getting sleep

brain damage and exhaustion from csa/osa?
I'm afraid I've been permanently brain damaged from csa/osa. I have never regained my health and thinking since getting sleep apnea. I've even tried the resmed ASV and it doesn't work for me
are the thinking problems from sleep apnea reversible?

please help!! no solutions for CSA/OSA
I've tried everything and nothing seems to work for my CSA/OSA except for prednisone and rarely bipap/asv. hopefully the resmed ASV will finally cure me but I've lost hope of ever being normal again

Re: oral surgeon suggests major OSA surgery
there was that sad story of the neurologist on Dr. Park's site who did many surgeries and finally had to have tracheostomy to be cured but I guess you would have a tube sticking out of your neck for life you know I really don't understand why we have to consider surgery; such a strange disease that ...

Re: VPAP Adapt question
my doctor just yelled at me and said he didn't think I needed bipap so I had to wait years for this machine
I've been trying for years to adjust to the high pressure so I don't know why you keep yelling at me?

theophylline helps?
Has anyone found that theophylline helps sleep apnea? I was taking it but it didn't seem to do anything. I got a slight headache from it, maybe it helped or it has an effect if you take it for longer? like some sites say that it does help central apnea. it says that it helps the respiratory center s...

Re: VPAP Adapt question
does the adapt have a ramp feature? on CPAP mode it does have a ramp but I can't fall asleep or stay asleep for more than 2 hours because of the high pressure
I can't believe that it is so hard to use despite being a good machine??
