Thanks for the encouragement Jim, old machine was a lease, no data at all.
I do realize there will be input on my part, I am very good with adjusting correcting machines/electronics. I've spent the last 20 years running a Satellite Earthstation.

Old Diagnosis
I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea in 2011, couldn't make it work. I have been having pretty significant apnea , waking with my heart pounding, feeling like I had been holding my breath forever.. I've taken a look at the new machines and they seem to be relatively self setting. Do I need ...

Re: Equipment
I had that exact discussion, they said that I was incorrect.
I think I will just move on to another provider.

Re: Equipment
I visited my DME/ENT office today , I explained that I had problems breathing against my current machine and requested the Resmed S9 Elite, they informed me that since it has the Expiratory pressure relief (EPR™), it would be a BPAP machine and I am not eligible for that type, only CPAP. They said t...

Re: Equipment
It's really quite funny, when I was signing the paperwork for the equipment they had the price for the machine listed at $6000. I had already been on this board and done quite a bit of research so I knew that that price was ridiculous.

Re: Equipment
Thanks apneawho, I was about to pm you about this.
It appears that the Dr's office is also the DME . I have a follow up in 2 weeks, I will be returning the Tango and mask I have and requesting a prescription to get my equipment from another source. Do you have any recommendations?

Equipment
I just received my CPAP today and have a question about the norm for equipment. The machine is a used Resmed Tango. Is it normal for the Dr's office to supply used and discontinued equipment? I was looking forward to a more modern unit that I could monitor my results with. The office requires me to ...

First Night..or Day
Hi, I will be using a CPAP in the morning(I works mids) for the first time. I have read quite a bit on this forum. I have a quick question about my mask, it's a Resmed Mirage SofGel, I noticed that there is a circular perforation on the front of the mask. If I put my finger over the perforation I ca...
