Re: Stamina

MarchWinds, Thank you for sharing this testimonial about your improved health and stamina from the use of your CPAP! It has been a little while longer for me since I started this this therapy, but the benefits in stamina and other areas of health is still evident. Just having a couple of nights with...

Re: Terminal Melanoma

Stormy, I bumped this thread to the top for others who have not yet heard of your husbands illness. Also to keep our thoughts, prayerful words, and support in one thread to make it easier for you to find for viewing and updating, should you find that helpful. Hopefully, I have not over stepped on yo...

Re: 3rd-party travel back for S9?

Hi Mike, Have not tried that but have been thinking about doing the same. I use a Respironics APAP and the bag it came with when traveling, and with the normal gear, a 8 foot hose, and back up mask (had a mask issue once) it has gotten tight, we are talking Ball Park Franks time, very hard to close....

ScootGal, One thing to add to what has already been posted is the tongue technique. Below is a good thread from the past covering this and other efforts at controlling mouth leaks. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=73949&p=679018&hilit=+tongue+technique#p679018 If you search on the forum a...

Stormy, I don't know what I can add in the way of support or options to you and your husband that have not been already so wisely and lovingly shared. I will certainly be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, but always have a feeling of frustration that something more tangible can't be immediatel...

Re: Accidentally fell asleep with mask on, but didn't turn CPAP

I have done this too, but never over an entire night. I use a nasel mask, which even though I have trained myself not to, allows me to breathe through my mouth (in case of power failure or sleepy forgetfullness). I too now awake very quickly when the air flow goes off, or never goes on, so the time ...

Re: Question about the FitLife Total Full Face Mask sizing

BudSky, There is a forum member Sheriff Buford who has extensive experience with this mask, if memory serves correct. I have not been around much lately so I am not sure if he has been on the forum, but perhaps send him a PM as it should get to him. I hope Sheriff or someone else is able to help. Go...

Re: backup machine, does everyone have one?

I got two backups. The first is a used PR Sys One 550 from a forum veteran that I will never get rid of (this is purely for sentimental reasons, as they have been so very helpful/supportive and their wisdom has had a profound effect on the success of my PAP therapy, both directly and indirectly). Th...
