Re: Is it okay to use....

Okay! Okay! I get the point! for now I'm using filtered tap water that promises to be better than regular tap water...and when I get my very own cpap and humidifier I'll buy distilled water. I'm not THAT frugal!

Re: I hate CPAP.

HA! It seems funny to me that this topic has gone on for so long and so much has been said-pro and con-and it's a topic started by a trollish spammer?
I gotta secret for ya! I hate it too but the alterative ( premature death) is not a very good option!

Re: cpap sucks

Well yes....if you're not dedicated you won't succeed. It's not---slap a piece of plastic onto your face, turn on the leaf blower, shut your eyes and go to sleep! It takes time to get used to cpap therapy and I envy the lucky few who have adjusted in a few days or a week! I'm still battling with mas...

Is it okay to use....

the water that comes out of the air conditioner's water pipe outside? It's condensation, so I guess it's pretty pure, right? I may just have to fight my cat for the rights to that water. I used the a/c last night and put a 2 liter jug under the hose...this am the jug was tipped over and the cat was ...

My New "Invention"

Okay, yesterday I got a cpap and mask, for a week. I go back to the sleep clinic for an evaluation before an option to buy the machine or not. GOOD! I had a Joyce SoftGel which had a strap across the head where I could attach the hose to keep it out of the way as I toss and turn. No such thing on my...

Bye Bye BiPAP.....Hello CPAP!

Would you believe it? It took me 3 months( at least) to get that BiPAP of mine, from the very first request, through letters from every doctor known to man and a big fat check for that BiPAP loaner, to be assurence that I'm not going to run away with it! And when I called the company today to say th...

Re: Why is it necessary to have a support team?

My support team is kind of non-existant...the company I got that machine from tried to make me out as some sort of brainless person.no helpful at all as far as how the thing works, except for "push this to start/push again twice to stop." The only support I got was at the hospital, where I went to g...

Re: Aloe Vera Gel to stop mask leaks

Yup.....I tried the aloe vera last night....it was good. It was cool on my face before it dried and gave a good seal. I have no idea how long I slept with the mask on but I sort of remember "Sahara Desert Mouth" and the mask was by my side when I awoke.

Taking control!

Well, I've started the ball rolling on finding all about this BiPap I have. I called the Importer and got really loud that I can't access the information about how I'm sleeping, how many apneas, etc etc.....without taling the whole machine to the sleep clinic. I want a smart card (there's a slot for...

Re: Aloe Vera Gel to stop mask leaks

Nice idea.....I'll try it tonight. My friend gave me aloe vera gel because she knows that I burn myself while baking-I'm clumsy!
I've got aloe plants in my garden. you can't get purer than that. Do you think that would work?I guess I'll try that too.
