off the wagon and trying to get back on
Hi, I was a new user and then I stopped using it. I have many excuses, of course. I travel a lot, it's incovenient, uncomfortable, but most of all, it would wake me up several times and I never felt like I could get back to sleep and would just take it off and sleep the rest of the night without it....

Re: Traveling with CPAP
I mostly had no problems on my flight. One of the security people that check IDs and tickets in San Francisco questioned me about 3 bags, so I had to stop and explain that it was a medical device. I was also very surprised to see that someone else on the plane had the same cpap as me. That made me r...

Re: Size does matter
Sl33py...I found the same thing, only in reverse direction!! I started out with the small and thought it was fine, until I decided to get a medium because of allergies and "thinking" bigger might be better! Well, sure enough it WAS better! Going up to mediums just seats better against my nose and v...

Re: Size does matter
I also find I better numbers with the smaller mask... I use XS as well. But I also find that I get more rainout in my XS mask vs the Small size mask.... I used my brand new one from my DME lastnight and I had sooo much condensation this morning.... (cant wait to invest in a ClimateLine hose tomorro...

Re: Traveling with CPAP
Tap water is fine for a few days, but for an extended time it might be worth the $0.89/gallon for distilled even if you have to toss most of it away. Cheers, xena Thank you both very much. As for the distilled water, I use that at home. I just don't check bags and won't have a car with me so no eas...

Size does matter
I'm a new user but wanted to share my experience with others that may be using a mask with nasal pillows since I've found so much help in this forum. I was using the small and it seemed to fit OK without leaking, but as I moved, it would shift around and I would wake up. I finally got the extra smal...

Traveling with CPAP
I travel quite a bit for work and this evening, I am on my first flight with my CPAP machine. Any tips on going through security? I'm told that it does not count as one of the carry ons since it is a medical device. I'm hoping that I don't have any problems. Also, since I can't carry liquids, I'll b...

Re: Increased lung capacity?
I had the shortness of breath under exertion issue too. However, for me it was not an issue of lung capacity. The evil apnea was causing pulmonary hypertension. If you are an apnea sufferer and are having shortness of breath under exertion, I suggest you get yourself along to a cardiologist ASAP. T...

Re: is this a scam?
What do you mean by compliance data? I've also seen others mention that they have been compliant.. Is this some requirement that some insurance carriers require a minimum usage in order to cover? My treatment center never mentioned this... only to use it, which I do every night. Don't you have to us...

Increased lung capacity?
Have any of you more experienced users (or even new users) noticed any increase in lung capacity? At higher altitudes and when hiking up hills or stairs, I notice that I breathe heavier than lots of other folks even though I exercise regularly and am in better shape than some. I was just optimistica...

Re: First night with machine
I take it completely off and it's easy to get back on. I am thirsty a lot, so I usually wake up and need to drink some water, which I tried with the mask on and doesn't work very well... So, I take it off, take a drink and back on and hopefully back to sleep without too much difficulty. I have only ...

Re: Why can't I see data from the SD card?
you need to pick the card as the folder - not any of the files on the card are you sure the card is blank? there should be some files on the card - what are they?? Jules, You are brilliant! Now, if only I were.... I have no idea what this stuff means. Talk about feeling dumb.. Yep, that's me right ...
