Re: SleepWeaver Advanced Nasal Mask
In inquired about this mask when I visited my RT last month. She indicated that her clients haven't had much success with it. She said most have utilized the 30-day return program to exchange them due to leaks.

Re: A Long Journey to Successful Treatment
Thanks, Slinky. I wasn't the only one who suffered. My family suffered as well. I was often grouchy, grumpy, irritable, etc. etc. etc. etc..... Even the dog knew when to stay away from me.Slinky wrote:tho we do regret those wasted 8 years you suffered

Re: I DREAMED!
Congratulations, nichola. Isn't it great? I just started to experience the same thing myself. It kinda makes you want to stay in bed and sleep all the time so you can experience more dreaming. Hey, it's great entertainment . Hope you continue to have many more pleasant dreams...

A Long Journey to Successful Treatment
It has been almost a month since starting on my new apap. As a result of my first sleep study back in 2003, I was put on a F&P cpap brick with humidifier at a pressure of '14'. It has not been easy to find a mask that would not leak at that pressure, and I never did. Nor have there been many nights ...

Re: Can you?
At a certain distance, it's quite easy to see 'I CANT SLEEP'. It's missing the apostrophe though.

Re: selling pillows on ebay
! Full complete masks (headgear, hoses, cushions, pillows or whatever) do require a prescription but replacement parts do not require a prescription. I guess this doesn't apply to the cpap itself, since the parts, such as the passover humidifier, do require a prescription. Like who in their right mi...

Re: newbie nervousness
Hi newbie nellie. Tell your hubby very kindly and gently to 'GET OVER IT!'. He's not sleeping with the machine, you are. Inform him that if he continues to sleep with you, he'll be waking up to a more energetic wife. It's not you that's insecure, it's your hubby. I really don't mean to sound harsh, ...

Re: selling pillows on ebay
Speaking of selling things on ebay, I once tried to sell my REMstar Passover Humidifier on Ebay, not realizing that it required a presecription. It's nothing but a plastic box that holds water (or can be used for organizing beads, screws or any other small items). What I don't understand is how can ...

Shift work / Lengthy commute
Does anyone do shift work and/or have a lengthy commute? Not only do I do shift work (swing shift at 10.5 hours per day, four days per week), but I also commute 100 miles per day (1.5 hours each way). I often get home around 1:00 a.m. I've been doing it for two years, and it's getting old! It's extr...

YIPPIE!!! Finally got an APAP
I took everyone's suggestions/recommendations last week and went to the medical supply place on Monday morning to talk with the respiratory therapist. I previously made an appointment with her, and a prescription along with a copy of my sleep study was also forwarded to her by my sleep doctor. When ...
