Re: Geographic Tongue from CPAP?
Does your Doc have you on any of the dry inhalers for COPD or other lung problems. Mine did. It is called Thush if you are inhaling any of that CR*P, get your Doc to write a script for the antifungals that kills Candida. Not serious in someone your age, but very annoying. Especially if its down in y...

Re: just a curious question
kennyr121 on Sat Oct 08, 2011 8:47 am With all that air pressure coming through my nasal pillow, how come I do not feel the rush of air through my nose, or my throat?? Well Kenny, if you open your mouth and relax your throat there will be a rush of air. The answer is in your question. It's air pres...

Re: Can you use filtered water in heated humidifier vs distilled
***WARNING*** After yesterdays post, I got out my DeVillbiss humidifier manual, and geez, they recommend hand washing with mild soap and water only. And using distilled water. Oh well. Live and read your manual. I'm still using the filtered water though. Just thought I'd correct my own screw-up befo...

Re: I hate this!
Some days I hate this, some mornings I love this, but all I have to do is run my finger down the center of my chest where no hair will grow on the scar tissue left by the heart sugery and I'm always fine with it. And please put your equipment in a post if you can't find the User Control panel in the...

Re: Can you use filtered water in heated humidifier vs distilled
Hey LG, I've personally been using filtered water for over ten years. And yes, I do have to clean my humidifier tank weekly, but that is not a problem since Paykal-Fisher started making take apart humidifier tanks. Now DeVillbiss makes them that can be put in the dishwasher. Love it and don't worry ...

Re: Using CPAP At An Altitude of 12,500'
Hey, Just got off the phone with a tech-support guy at Covidian...used to make and sell PBs. He said that it might work, but the little blower in that machine you use will be running at its max RPMs. Also said if your mask has a high volume (liter/min.) then that would be a problem. I told him a Swi...

Re: How bad can pressure induced central apnea be?
It may be a matter of symantics, but Merriam-Webster's dictionary of medical terms describes hypopnea as: Definition of HYPOPNEA: abnormally slow or especially shallow respiration. Whereas, the people at Mayo Clinic define Central Apnea as: Central sleep apnea is a disorder in which your breathing r...
