Re: Insurance requires 2-month compliance rental
Maybe you can convince the insurance company to accept a 60 day compliance...that will take you to Dec. 30th. I believe our/most companys use Medicare guidelines----at least 4 hours a day for 21-days out of 30----so one should be able to be in compliance if they use their machine for 42-days out of...

Re: Insurance requires 2-month compliance rental
Our DME suggested coming in after 30 days to download and see if the insurance company would accept if in compliance for the period. Going to try that but don't have much hope.

Insurance requires 2-month compliance rental
My wife had to start using a CPAP-----The good news is our new DME brought out 2 machines for her to choose, a Resmed S9-Autoset or RemStar Auto DS560TS with heated tube, they said they only provide Auto machines. We chose the RemStar. The problem is our insurance company requires a 2-month complian...

Re: Q re ResScan Event Flags
Nate: I looked at the ResScan .XML and noticed that your machine is excluded in displaying Central (OPI) flags. I wonder if you could "Tweak" aka edit the file similar to the tidal volume & respiratory rate tweak that BernieRay posted and have the " Cental Lollipop" show. The NODEID is #OPI. Edit to...

Re: M Series BiPap Auto for travel ?
I bought this unit. It came with a heated humidifier & a stand. Only 79 hours use on blower. Compared to the inflated prices most people try to sell their used units for up here, this was indeed a steal @ $175. I have downloaded the Providers Manual from an obscure site and Encore Pro is installed &...

M Series BiPap Auto for travel ?
I have an opportunity to purchase a " slightly used" M-series BiPap auto w/humidifier for $175. Would this be a good machine for travel & camping (in a small camper) and is the price reasonable ? From what I have read M-series don't provide much data but can be plugged directly into a cig. lighter w...

Re: Choosing an oximeter
Hello McSleepy; I have been doing some extensive searching on this. Finger sensors are available for the wrist & handheld units but they cost nearly half the price or more of the entire unit. If a batt. is not charged periodically it may completely die . I have decided on a Handheld unit, they are n...

Re: Advice ? Buying Oximeters from China on Ebay
Thank you for your responses. I have decided not to go the Ebay/China route, too many issues to worry about. I have found a unit CMS-60FW for $199 w/free shipping in the States vs $122 direct from China. I will consider the extra $77 as "piece of mind insurance" and not lose any sleep over it. My Do...

Re: Advice ? Buying Oximeters from China on Ebay
And you are asking strangers on the internet for advice? I thought this was a forum for advice I am getting as much info as possible before I make my purchase and was only hoping that others with more experience could provide some thoughts. As with anything one must weigh any "advice" given. You ne...

Re: Advice ? Buying Oximeters from China on Ebay
People have reported good results ordering from Chinese sources. Here's something to think about, though, and that is service after sale. Occasionally there's a problem. In my case the unit was defective. Fortunately, I had ordered from the pulseoxstore. He shipped a replacement immediately, and pa...

Re: CMS50E oximeter battery dead :( replacement ??
Hi Bob I tried to see if the Manufacturer could be of help Below is their response. I have one suggestion you may try. With NiMh batts if it goes completely dead, sometimes it can be revived by "jump starting" with a charged batt of no greater voltage. Briefly touching +to+ & -to- Then charge as nor...

Advice ? Buying Oximeters from China on Ebay
I have been looking for an oximeter for overnite use. Probably a handheld or wrist unit as the all-in-one finger units seem far to bulky. After checking several sites online it appears the "best" prices are from Ebay store fronts. Nearly half the cost or better. I have never used ebay and am also a ...
