COPD and C pap therapy
I was wondering if anyone here has had the same experience and if they really are related. I have mild copd from years of smoking and quit about two years ago. I was able to stop medications once I quit smoking but since I have been on cpap therapy I have needed to start taking my inhaler again (Adv...

Re: Tongue on roof of mouth...please explain
When I first started to use cpap therapy I was a mouth breather so I bought a chin strap and used for about a week. I would of been better off strapping a set of pantyhose around my head. Nasal mask or pillows and I haven't had a problem since that first week. Tongue sits very nicely right on the ro...

Re: Do I need a humidifier?
I didn't know how much I loved my humidifier until it broke and I didn't have it. Big hearts on humidity.

Re: Problems with nasal mask
Thanks so much to everyone for all the great suggestions. I have borrowed an Opus 360 from my sleep clinic and they will let me use it until I can find a more reasonibly priced mask. I will check Amazon for sure and maybe local craigslist as well.
Thanks again and everyone have a good night!

Re: Problems with nasal mask
Sorry for the confusion. When I got my equipment I got the ResMed nasal mask which up until a couple of weeks ago had been working wonderfully. But then I started to have the pressure problems so I went back to my sleep clinic and they loaned me two masks to try out, nasal pillows instead of the nas...

Problems with nasal mask
Hi everyone. I'm now having some problems with nasal mask and the bridge of my nose. I should say that I also wear glasses. I'm not having pain but more like pressure from wearing glasses all day then slapping the mask on at night. I used nasal pillows (Opus worked really well for me) but I'm not ab...

I thought I had bookmarked links to places I could purchase hose covers and maybe some head gear covers. Could someone please re-link me if you could?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Do any of you sleep all the way through the night?
I've been using cpap therapy every night since I got the machine at the beginning of September and I am already feeling much better. I don't have reflux anymore and don't go the bathroom 2-3 times a night like I used to. I sleep long hours without waking up and husband says that I don't move very mu...

Re: I am still tired all the time.
I've been on therapy for a month now and about as compliant as I can be (fell asleep on the sofa a couple of times) and I am feeling better. I won't say 20 year old better but I can get through the day, even a long day without dieing. I have started to clean out rooms that haven't seen the light of ...

Re: Raw nasal passage after sleep
Agreeing with everyone here. My humidifier died on me and I didn't know for a few days. Got a replacement and set my humidity to 3.5 and that seems to be working just fine for me. My house has forced air but no humidifier on the furnace which is why I keep mine a bit on the high side.

Re: Wife won't do sleep study
I wish I knew the magic word to get someone to go get tested for sleep apnea. My husband stops breathing, snores the whole nine yards and he refuses to go get tested. I won't push because I know that is what he hates more than anything but I hope that he will get tested one day. I don't want to see ...
