I don't have any trouble wearing the mask - and when I had my sleep study last year I weighed 378 pounds and the techs interrupted my snoozes by telling me I needed a mask, NOW. So, newly masked I slept like a log rest of the night. The mask is my friend.

I turn 64 in June and I weigh 340 pounds.(I lost 35 pounds recently and stopped snoring) In the course of my day I climb ladders onto restaurant flat and pitched rooftops. I amaze myself daily!

Went back to mask wearing last night. I found an additional benefit in that it helps my allergies due to the filtration.

The best part is I don't snore anymore, according to my wife, the #1 expert and light sleeper. I have been waking up as rested as with mask. I told her the minute she hears a snore to poke me and I'll put mask on.

Going Bare

Been using CPAP just over 1 year. However, I lost 30 pounds on weight watchers and decided to try sleep without machine. Cool beans! Slept like a proverbial log! Will wonders ever cease?

Full face mask

I wear a full face mask and run pressure at 14 per sleep MD, where they found I slept without apneas. I originally used a nasal mask and taped my mouth, but with my mouth inside now I find I am mouth breathing. Is that cool or should I still tape my mouth and only breathe thru the nose. Any ideas? J...

I slept without humidifier last night. Straight through the blower. Wole up just once with a dry throat otherwise fine. I will keep trying it. Still have slight edema in left foot.

I will be trying my machine sans water for the next few days to see if the edema goes away.

Wow, what a coincidence, I am a guy on WW since early Feb. this year, and lately after losing 10 pounds I suddenly started gaining. I was eating Spec K cereal as a snack until I saw it has high sodium. As a matter of fact I started tracking my sodium intake and was surprised at the amt. pf sodium in...

Sleep over

Being married to a very tolerant lady, I am curious just how do single people handle the sleepover with the one you are trying to impress. Let's face it, these masks are not the most attractive part of sleep attire to a potential suitor/ suitee.

Hi Jack,

I think I got rid of those others, I hope. Cleared cookies. Maybe I won't need to sleep so much. 12 hours last night.

I started CPAP in May 06 and I have been having some serious dreams of late. Stuff from my past, like incompleted job assignments that have resurfaced. Unpleasant experiences with bosses and co-workers. The silly part is I remember them vivdly. Maybe it's my conscience.

Johnny G: You can see the mask I have the ComfortGel Mask with Headgear, which appears popular. I had the thing so tight one night that in the morning it left a red rectangle on my forehead and the cut on the nose bridge. It happened. Bridge Cut

I have my CPAP since mid-May of this year. So I am still getting used to it. However, I have developed a nasty cut on the bridge of my nose from the mask I have, it's because I adjusted the nose piece too tightly due to dry-eyes. Apria said they will send a new nasal thing to use, which I think is co...
