1 year anniversary
I'm celebrating my one-year anniversary on CPAP. I remember the first few weeks were tough, getting used to the mask, etc. This forum played a huge part in helping me get through that. So I wanted to say thanks to this community, I couldn't have done it without you.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good full face mask?
I've been using the Mirage Quattro for a couple of months and it works well for me. I had nose bridge sore issues with my original F&P nasal mask but have had none with the Resmed.

Re: Res Med Quattro FX Mask
I've had mine for a couple of months and I quite like it. It fits well and seals well and the over-all comfort is good. My nose and sinuses aren't great but with the FFM I don't have to worry about them.

Fitbit for sleep monitoring
I have a basic (dumb) machine and it provides me with no data on how I'm sleeping. I heard that the Fitbit which you're supposed to wear on your wrist can do some basic sleep tracking. I'm thinking of getting one anyway to monitor my daily exercise but I was wondering if anyone here has tried it for...

Re: Waking up with a stiff neck
My mattress and pillow are only a couple of months old. I've tried sleeping w/o a pillow, two pillows, one pillow, doesn't seem to make a difference. I sleep mostly on my side. Before CPAP I was a tummy sleeper but I can't seem to do this w/o mask leaks. I try sleeping on my back but that is, as we ...

Waking up with a stiff neck
I seem to wake up every day with a stiff neck. A quick application of liniment takes care of it but I was wondering if others have had this issue and who they felt with it.

Re: Using new mask
Yeah unfortunately my machine give me *no* data about my sleep. Had I known how important that was when I first got it I would have opted for one that does. So I can only judge by how I'm feeling through the day.

Re: Using new mask
Why do you want to sleep on your back - it is the worst position for apneas to occur and we try hard not to 'be' there if we can avoid it. I just find with the mask and hose that's the easiest way to sleep. My old way of sleeping was on my stomach but I haven't been able to make that work with the ...

Re: Using new mask
Why are people that use FF Masks Fools? Bloody auto correct! Sorry, I honestly don't know how that happened. I truly meant to say people. I should have proofed more carefully. God no, I'm not calling anyone on here a fool. Sorry all. Finger fart I guess. I edited the original post, the word I was g...

Using new mask
I just switched from a nasal mask to a full-face. Seems to be working well. The only thing I have found with this one and a hybrid I tried is that I cannot sleep on my back at all. Then I get apneas which the mask can't seem to deal with. I don't know if it's because the pressure is spread out one a...

Best Full Face mask, non-Resmed
I'm am planning to get a full face mask. I tried the Resmed Mirage Quattro and quite liked. The problem is that it is ridiculously expensive to buy it here in Ontario Canada. CPAP.com say they can't ship Resmed to Canada. So any suggestions as to what a comparable model that WILL ship to Canada woul...

Re: Day four, Arggghhh, cheer me up.......
I struggled in the beginning too with panic and all that. I soon gave up on the ramp up feature, works better without. Someone on here told me to work on the comfort issues so that's what I've been doing. I'm just coming up on 3 months on the therapy. Like you I have a basic machine set at 9. I boug...
