Re: Out with the old...

Thank you all for the recommendations. I didn't realize about the heated hose and cover issues. I'll look into that model chin strap mentioned. I wish the pressure sensation at the beginning of each night would last all night. I've become addicted to that feeling of air pressure at the beginning of ...

Out with the old...

After over 14,000 hours, I am getting a new machine. I can count on my fingers the night of not being compliant, only due to camping or electrical outages. I joined this group a week into my CPAP life, mostly lurking and learning. My new doctor is letting me have some say in what I will purchase. I ...

Thanks for the details of your events with your masks! I really appreciate the information you have provided. I have no DME that will let me try it out but I am leaning towards ordering one from cpap.com.

Thanks again,
Mark

Looking at Mirage Liberty Full Face??? Have Swift Orig Now.

I'm thinking about purchasing a Mirage Liberty Full Face. I have been using a Original Swift Nasal Pillow. Will a mustache or other facial hair cause leakage on the Mirage Liberty Full Face? With my S8 Elite and the original Swift nasal pillow over the last month my numbers are: Press:11.4 Leak: 0.3...

I must be weird or something! I would wake up choking and coughing with this at least every other night before my cpap. After starting my cpap, over a year ago, the only times I have had acid reflux upchucks were the nights I was unable to use my machine due to camping without electricity. It has vi...

Thanks for the quick response. I will let you all know what happens. I am so spittin' mad right know I don't think I should go today until I settle down and get it all clear in my head how to handle it. I did, back in January I believe it was, call them and ask what it was going to cost me. There an...

Is there anything I can do? I think I got screwed!

I just received a bill from the DME my doctor recommended, a year after I them giving me my CPAP. I got a ResMed S8 Elite with Humidifier. At the time of fitting and instruction, a year ago I saw an invoice started with the dollar amount of $2xxx (I couldn't read it all) but told the the person I wa...

Congrats on your milestone! I did some playing on the spreadsheet to figure out time frames for certain "milestones". Let say a person was 100% compliant and they slept 8 hours a night. Base on 365.25 days per year(to account for leap year) you can see how the hours build for each year. Years Hours...

Thanks! I actually do know my CPAP Fairy all to well!

He's about 6'4", 280 lbs. He used to rattle the windows when he snored and would quit breathing throughout the night. The CPAP Fairy seems to follow the advice and knowledge from this forum to the letter!

ResMed S8 Auto Vantage Numbers...

I have a friend that just got a Auto Vantage. I have a S8 Elite. I was able to show him how to access the Clinical Menu and read his data but it looks the same as my data. I thought there was a way on the APAP to see what the high and low pressure for the night had been but it only shows the same in...

To be a bit more precise than in my earlier post, 2M=78.74015748 inches. LOL on trouble buying soda pop. Just think how lost we would be watching the Olympics if we hadn't learned the metric system in elementary school!

My doctor was very optimistic that this therapy would "Make me a new man", as he said when leaving his office. It's only been 4 weeks and one of those weeks I was camping up north without electricity, hence no CPAP. Otherwise I have worn the thing religiously. As far as feeling better during the day...
