can't lie down without my cpap now
I have been on CPAP for 2 years, consistently. I never miss even an hour of a night or a nap. However, a while back my husband was sick with a high fever and very confused. Needless to say, we were up and down every little vit that night so i got tired of putting my cpap on, taking it off, putting i...

Re: Have you tried RemZzzs
I bought T-shirt material at Jaonns and cut my own. I've tried the remzzz's but they are so thin, I can't get more than one night's use out of one which makes them cost about $30/month. I like my own better.

Lady Zest Q or Mirage fx for her
Has anyone tried either the Lady Zest K or the Women's Mirage Fx nasal masks? I am having a terrible time with masks and typically use the Aclaim 2 but I hate being bound to having the hose up over my head. Sometimes it drives me crazy and I'd like to try something new.

Devilbiss humidifier tray leaking:HELP!
I opened my humidifier tray to wash it and now it is leaking if I fill it more than 1/2 full. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: sleepWeaver nasal mask
I have one on order. 30 day trial, you can return it for a full refund and free shipping. So we'll see. The original mask was too flimsy and kept sliding off when I'd roll over or even move in the slightest. The new one is supposed to have more stability. I'll let you all know when I know. FeelingBe...

Re: AHI spikes at about 0300
Nightmonkey,
My apap pressures were a floor of 10 and a Max of 18. With this my nightly AHIs were running about 14-18. Now with a pressure of 14, my AHIs are a little better then on the apap but no where near where it needs to be.
Thanks all.

Re: AHI spikes at about 0300
I was on autopap but my AHIs were worse. The sleep doc thought I'd be better off setting my pressure higher but constant. He said with apap the machine has to detect the event, then respond to it and often times by the time the machine responds, the event is over and the pressure drops again. Any th...

Re: AHI spikes at about 0300
They were titrating me from 1230 on and when I first started CPAP my numbers were beautiful the first couple of months. They did state that I had more central apneas then they would've expected from just getting used to breathing with CPAP. They said most people "over breathe" when they are first st...

Re: AHI spikes at about 0300
I've had two spinal fusions and am a dedicated side sleeper. I can't stand to be on my back for more than about 5 minutes, if that. My current pressure is 14 and my leak runs about 30 and the sleep doc said anything less than 40 is accpetable.

another question. I have been have a recent onset of edema and my echocardiogram showed significant pulmonary arterial hypertension. I had a right-sided heart cath done and they said it was only slightly elevated, which I don't believe for many reasons but that's another story in and of itself. My n...

CMS 50E
It seems that oximeters are a hot topic right now. I just bought the CMS 50E as my doctor has been doing frequent oximeter readings since I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and having edema. So long story short, I bought a CMS 50E so I could watch my own trends and quit being at the mercy o...

Re: flying and cpap
Thank you so much everyone for the comments and suggestions. I was worried about using bottled water as my DME says NEVER use anything but distilled. But that is in a perfect world. When I travel by car, no problem obviously, I just throw the jug in the trunk. The DME said that bacteria from tap wat...

flying and cpap
I will be flying to Las Vegas in 2 weeks. I won't need to fly but will need to take it with me. I am guessing I need to carry it on but how do I get my distilled water to Vegas?? No nearby pharmacies or grocery stores around. Do I tell the security ppl at the airport that I am sending a cpap through...
