Re: What's the latest in the sleep apnea world?
No, he did not order another sleep study which surprised me since it has been ten years. But, I'm certainly glad not to have to do it. He just ordered a new machine.

Re: What's the latest in the sleep apnea world?
Thank you!!! Great information. Just what I was looking for. Hope I don't have that much of a co-pay. My co-pays under Medicare and my secondary overall have been very minor. I've never had a co-pay for CPAP supplies.

What's the latest in the sleep apnea world?
I haven't been around for a few years. Had my last sleep study in 2015 which is the same year I got my last machine. Things are not going as well as they should though it's not too bad. I think it is time for a new machine so I have visit with doctor tomorrow. Has anything changed in the way sleep s...

MyAir data reports
My machine is not transmitting data to Resmed for the MyAir reports. The only help I got from their website was to unplug it for 40 seconds. That didn't change anything.
It's a Resmed Air Sense 10. Anybody else have this machine and have any suggestions?
Thanks!!!

Re: Sleeping in a recliner
Geez!!! I'm just asking a question!! I've been a CPAP user for over 10 years. I'm temporarily without a bed and trying to decide whether to sleep on the sofa or in the recliner.
I remember now why I stayed away from this website for so long. People can be so hateful!!!

Silk sleep cap recommendations
My hair is falling out in back and I think it is because of my headgear. My research tells me that wearing silk scarf or sleep cap will prevent that.
There are SO many sleep caps out there. I'm so confused!!! Can anybody recommend one?

Re: Selling CPAP equipment
Thanks everyone for all your replies. I thought $350 was a good price since I know my insurance company at the time paid the DME $3,000!!!
I think I'll just keep it as a back-up.

Selling CPAP equipment
What is the best way to sell equipment? I have a machine (with humidifier and bag). I have tried Craigslist, my neighborhood blog, and Facebook to no avail.

How does CPAP usage get reported to Medicare?
My machine was paid for before I went on Medicare and so far they have paid for my supplies. But, how do they know that I am compliant? Neither my doctor nor my DME knows.

Registering machine
I went to a new doctor a few months ago. I'm not sure how she did it, but she "registered" my machine so she could monitor data and make changes. I have not changed doctors and he is unable to override her registration so that he can have access. I have talked to both old and new DMEs (changed DME a...

Re: Should I do this?
I like the MYAIR feature. It's a lot quicker than downloading data. Like somebody else said, though, I am sick of the "attaboy" crap. I have been doing CPAP for five years and it is just in the last couple of months that I have been able to finally tolerate the mask for more than an hour or two. I c...
