humidifier chamber issues
I keep getting dark deposits in my chamber. I always clean it once a week and always use distilled water. Now I have been seeing a pinkish film which wipes off with a towel when I clean it by hand. Usually I get a new one every 6 months, this one I had for 7. Am I breathing in this trash or what? Sh...

Wow! Some great advice! Yes this mask has a double cushion, I will loosen up the straps and give it a try. Thank you all very much!

sore nasal bridge
I'm trying out a resmed nasal mask. It feels good, seems easier to breath with this mask. Only problem is I wake up with a very sore nasal bridge! Using a bandaid only seems to make it worst when I take it off. Any suggestions? A big thank you in advance!

not happy with DME
I am not happy with the DME that the sleep center sent me to. Is it possible to change? I get my supplies approved through medicare and I have a copy of my original prescription.

Re: masks
I use the resperonics Go Life nasal pillow mask. I also sleep mostly on my side. Works great, and is very comfortable.

Re: Small nose
I have the new mirage fx nasal mask in wide. I switched from using nasal pillows. This mask is so easy to clean, lightweight, the best part is you can disconnect the hose and leave the mask intact for any nighttime calls. You might want to try the smaller size.

could use some help!
Been on cpap for 6 weeks. I was using a resperonics nasal pillow. Last Sunday night got rushed to the er, had three episodes of waking up gasping! On the third time after about three hours of half sleep it got so bad I thought I would pass out from no breathing. At the er they did lung x-rays (all c...

Mask problem?
I could use some advice! Been on treatment for five weeks now. Seems to be working, sleep better, I actually dream now. Problem is for the past two weeks I developed a constant sinus drainage, tickle in my throat, and a cough. Also about two, three times I woke up gasping, not severe, just went back...

Re: Wow! What an aggravating night!
I know the feeling! Try keeping all the equipment clean when you have two dogs and one cat in the house! Used to be both dogs slept at the foot of the bed, since I started treatment the hose scares them! Alone again!

sore throat
Need some advice! Been on cpap for about two weeks now. Sleeping great, feel better except for one problem, sore throat. My pressure is 9, they set my humidifier on 11. I raised it a little to see if it would help. Thought I would drown in the extra moisture!!! Any suggestions?

Re: Dreams
One of the first things I noticed since starting my treatments with CPAP is my dreaming? As long as I can remember, I used to dream infrequently! Now I dream every night! If I need to get up in the middle of the night I actually start another dream when I return to my sleep.
