Thanks... I just checked the settings again and the ramp is at 0. The odd thing is that when I went to bed last night the setting in the little window (could they make the thing any smaller? Not so handy for my nearsighted eyes.) was at 6. However, it sounded like there was a leak somewhere. I did t...

Update.... I changed the setting to the range of 6 to 12 last night. I either had a lot of leaks or there was more air coming through as it seems to me that I spent the majority of the night feeling for leaks due to the increased sound of airflow. I never did feel any leaks but the difference in sou...

Wow... I just did that and I set it to 12. Thanks so much, my appointment with my dr wasn't for another two weeks and I was to see him just so he could write a prescription to change the pressure! And then I would have to take the entire machine to my DME.... you've saved me both money and time. A g...

I, too, have made real soap in the past.... the thing that would concern me about using real soap would be the glycerin. "Real soap" or homemade soap, made from fats (either animal or vegetable, lard, tallow, or olive oil, etc) contains glycerin. "Store bought" soap usually does not as the manufactu...

My pressure's set from 6 to 10. I can only see the the amount of hours on my screen and if the heat is on or not. My ramp buttons don't work, at least nothing happens if I push them. I'm the first to admit that I'm not inclined to understand anything electronic... my husband is the expert at these t...

How do I read my own card?
I've been on cpap for several months now. At first it worked great, my pain level dropped, my depression disappeared and I felt rested. About two weeks ago, the pain started up again, plus depression, choking sensations, and feeling worn out all the time. I've not been able to get any help from my s...

depression pain and tiredness
I think the question is: Can cpap "cure" depression? I've had depression all my life. I've had fibromyalgia for almost fifteen years. I've been on cpap a little over two months now. My answer to the question is that I'm not cured but I'm a hundred per cent better. Is it worth it? Yes. Yes. Yes. My h...

headaches
It appears that the headgear being too tight was the culprit. I loosened up the mask and the headaches stopped almost completely in a few days.

A LOT of insurances deny absolutely everything the first go around. Sometimes you can get them to cover things they've denied by being "nicely" persistent. Also, try working with your doctor and your doctor's office personnel. Sometimes they can help you get the insurance company to cover what they ...

I'm new, too
I'm new to using cpap, too. I've been using the machine and a full face mask for just over two weeks. When I do finally fall asleep with it, I usually get a few good hours of sleep and I do feel more rested but I don't go to sleep every night, or not until really, really late/early morning. This is ...
