Re: DME overcharge for mask replacement
Well, CPAP.com is much less expensive because it is cash and carry. They don't deal with any insurance, so they can keep their prices lower. As far as HIPAA regulations go, that sounds like a BS answer as this has nothing to do with HIPAA. As far as the price of the full mask, that sounds about rig...

DME overcharge for mask replacement
My DME (Apria) allows me a replacement mask every 3 months. I recently called and requested a Mirage Quattro. They told me the copay would be $80.82, which is 20% of the mask "price" of $401.40. Now the same mask is sold at cpap.com for $176. I asked Apria why the base price was so high, and they to...

And now I've found where to see the report -- in the print option.

The grey is the rightmost half of the horizontal line between the two vertical lines on the second graph in my first post.moresleep wrote:Jules, HoseCrusher, where do you see the grey before the 5:30 event? I'm just not seeing it--maybe my monitor or eyes...

Re: Help interpreting oximetry data
Good start. When you view your data, zoom into any questionable areas in a 10 minute window. Then if you right click and select those areas where the unit lost the reading(grey line), it will block them out in grey and remove that data from your report. Thanks. That worked. I still haven't found th...

Re: Help interpreting oximetry data
Thanks to all for the helpful posts. HoseCrusher, I've expanded the sections you suggested, along with a couple more where the O2 level drops below 90%. I'll give my novice interpretation of these, and if you or anyone else can explain them better, please do: http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p158/...

Re: Help interpreting oximetry data
Thanks, jules, I see that now. So do you think this apparent apneic event is really just a lost signal? What do we make of the fact that the O2 appears to spike after it?

Help interpreting oximetry data
Last night I recorded my first set of oximetry, and I'd be grateful if some of the more experienced people here could take a look and tell me whether my interpretation seems right. Unfortunately, I don't have the data card for the VPAP, so I can't compare with its data. Here's the full dataset: http...

Re: CMS 50D+ oximeter on XP
I recently purchased the CMS-50F model from Amazon. I tried following presterjohn's instructions for the CMS-50D+ in the previous post, but I was unable to connect. Not surprising, since it's a different model. Although the CMS-50F name wasn't marked with "+" at amazon.com, the description says it h...

Thanks, Jimbo. I have joined the list. I'm a former PC developer myself, so I kind of understand how the development work goes. Can't do everything at once.

New tester here. Has anyone been able to get Sleepyhead to work with oximeter data yet? I have the Contac CMS 50F and an iMac with Snow Leopard. Thanks.

Re: lightest O2 concentrator for 3L bleed in? and buy vs rental
I rent an O2 concentrator from Apria, my DME. One advantage is that if I'm traveling to a place where they have service, they will provide me a concentrator there, at no additional charge. I'm trying it out for the first time next weekend, staying in a motel in Estes Park, CO. I called Apria and the...

Re: O2 Supplement with CompSA
My PCP did a COPD test when I first reported shortness of breath after awaking. The COPD test was negative, and the morning shortness of breath went away when the sleep apnea was treated. I do live in Denver, so altitude may be a factor, but I don't have shortness of breath climbing stairs, and I re...
