Re: UPDATE! hair clip DID solve my positional sleep apnea!
yeah, I was told after 2 sleep studies about year and half ago I had complex sleep apnea and got an ASV machine. After many issues and $$ spent, I had another sleep study. The tech looked at old results and was confused why the previous tech did what they did. I am young with no real health issues, ...

Re: ASV users: the everything ASV thread.
Been about a month, have not used machine. Don't feel any different now that when I was using it. No more "tired", not waking up any more than previous to go to bathroom, no night sweats. Doing fine with my workouts and at work. I sleep with a body pillow on each side and pretty much always fall asl...

Re: ASV users: the everything ASV thread.
So I got a free sleep study at my fiance's work last week. The tech looked at my previous studies and didn't really know why they did what they did. I was only on CPAP for 8 minutes and had 3 centrals and tech switched my to Bipap... Anyway, my sleep study showed few obstructives and several hypopn...

Re: Challenges of Diagnosing Complex/Central/Mixed Sleep Apnea
so I got my results...The sleep MD thinks the tech pretty much messed up my previous studies.
He thinks it is ridiculous that I have an ASV machine, I only had sleep onset centrals.
I had few obstructives and hypopneas on my back and basically no events on my right side.

Re: The Challenges of Accurately Diagnosing Sleep Apnea
This is funny. I was diagnosed with complex sleep apnea last year. I got a free sleep study through my fiance's work last Wed (results tomorrow). The sleep tech looked at my previous studies and laughed. Said she had no clue why the tech did what they did during my titration. Apparently I was only ...

Re: The Challenges of Accurately Diagnosing Sleep Apnea
It's alarming to read that two techs can score a sleep study differently. Suz This is funny. I was diagnosed with complex sleep apnea last year. Re: What do you talk about with your sleep Dr?
Appts last about 3 min. Assistant takes my BP and has me fill out questionaire. Dr (pulmonologist) looks at it, adds up #'s, compares it to last appt.

Re: So I went on vacation..
So I stopped the Wellbutrin awhile ago and tapered off the Cymbalta, so it's probably been 3-4 months off all drugs. I have also started exercising pretty regularly, taking boxing/kickboxing/brazilian jiu jitsu classes and I rarely ever drink anymore. Maybe 6-10 per month, never more than 3 in one n...

I stayed at home my first week of vacation and slept maybe an average of 5-7 hrs with my mask, waking up at least 1-2 times a night to go to the bathroom or because a increase in pressure/ma...
