Re: My Bi-Pap broke and no Insurance. What are my options?

I would try the charity cpap places or possibly the repair shops, although I would hazard the repair alone will cost more than $200. If that is really too much then possibly an old machine on craigslist, which could cause its own problems. Alternately if you really cant afford the $200, then you sh...

Re: My Bi-Pap broke and no Insurance. What are my options?

Fishoil, I think it would be a good idea to go into your clinician menu and record your settings. You will need to know them to transfer to a new machine, or possibly reset this one after repair. Just for the heck of it, what part of the world do you live in? I'll bet there is something not too far...

Re: My Bi-Pap broke and no Insurance. What are my options?

Look at the online prices of new and used bipaps. You may be surprised. I did, the lowest one I saw was $600 I can barely afford 200 lol What are your prescribed pressures? Could you get by with an apap and exhale relief? There are machines like that in the $200 price range. I'm not sure what my pr...

Re: My Bi-Pap broke and no Insurance. What are my options?

I've already been sleeping without for the past few days. It's terrible, I wake up wheezing.

But I think repair is my only option since I can't afford such expensive machines.

If it can't be repaired, then I guess the bipap era of my life is over. It was great while it lasted.

My Bi-Pap broke and no Insurance. What are my options?

My Bipap started making really loud horrible noises recently. I didn't really notice it until recently because it was very gradual, and if I moved it around a little, the noise would subside. But the other night, it got louder than it ever has been, and no amount of moving around made it go away. It...

Re: I had absolutely no idea how much this would cost.

My contract doesn't have prices or anything on it. Yeah I made the mistake of not reading it, but I just went and read it now and nowhere on it does it say how much it would cost. It's just stuff like agreeing to rent.

Re: I had absolutely no idea how much this would cost. I owe 5k

Just called CareCentrix, I was way off on my estimate of 5k. I only owe them 1308. So I set up a payment plan of 54.50 every month. They said my insurance was already covering some of it, but the price is so high because my deductible sucks basically.

Okay I just called my Medical Provider (Your Home Medical), and I was wrong about the 36 months. Apparently it was converted to a sale in May.

So now I'm gonna call CareCentrix and see exactly how much I owe there.

It's a rental but I didn't start getting these insane bills until March or so when I've had it since last August. So I still owe a year or so.

Re: I had absolutely no idea how much this would cost. I owe 5k

So many people to respond to. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield through my father's employer. I have gotten a paper that says "This is not a bill" and shows some numbers that I don't really understand. It says like "Charge" and shows the amount. "Allowable amount" and shows it again. "Provider Responsib...
