Re: What other health issues do you have?
I have afib/aflutter and believe it was a result on not being on CPAP earlier in life.

I'd like to see that new contraption, I use the headset and sometimes laying on my side the plastic of the headset is uncomforable.

Re: how i can reprogram the ramp of my cpap sleep easy?
Isn't ramp just the amount of time to get up to full pressure and then it stays at that pressure through the night?
I turned my ramp completely off as I was not getting enough air into my lungs with the ramp time, I felt choked. So off went the Ramp setting

Re: How do you store your distilled water? In plastic of glass?
Lets see, the tubing is plastic, the mask tube leads are plastic and the masks are plastic. I used distilled water in my humidifier but wonder if municipal tap water would be just as good and safe. I can't help to think that the CPAP industry has made suggestions of distilled as it is the safest rec...

Re: washing climate line
Ive never washed a hose in the 5 years of CPAP. Took the hose cozy off the other day and the thing looks like new and smells fine too. Me thinks there's not much to worry over. I think the way you do. I am almost on my first year completion with the same hose. Washed it maybe 4 times but think the ...

Re: washing climate line
You should be able to hook it right back up after you wash it. Why do you think you need a few days to dry it out. The S9 will dry it out probally the first 30 minutes of use.

Re: afib & sleep apnea
I have afib/aflutter. I have had 9 cardio conversions each resetting me back to normal rythym fo various number of days and months. I always reverted back to afib. I am on a beta blocker - calcium blocker and blood thinner probally for life. I have had this condidition for about 12 years and went on...

Re: CPAP Equipment Cleaning & Disinfecting Schedule and Instruct
Those cleaning instructions seem appropiate if your a "bubble boy" but not necessary to that extent for most people. You breath in much worse stuff just being a foot away from someone who coughed or sneezed. I think the schedules the CPAP suppliers give us are intended to sell more product (mostly c...

YUCK - Looks like nicotine inhaled.
I have my Swift LT pillows out in the air and they have never discolored.
Post nasal drip may have caused the squishy breakdown.
EEEWWWW

Re: The end of all my problems
I went from waking every hour on the hour to get up to pee to being able to sleep A WHOLE STRAIGHT 5 HOURS at a clip. I haven't slept 5 hours at a clip in over 20 years but after the CPAP therapy, I was amazed at how long I COULD sleep. Still get tired during the late afternoon and have to take a 1/...

Re: Is it alright to nap without your cpap?
Same for me, a 1/2 hour nap boosts my energy, of course it could be the adrenalin from the apneas... I guess I'm one of the oddballs. I nap almost every day in the recliner without the CPAP and feel quite fine. In fact, it refreshes me enough to keep me going until 11, 12, or 1, even. My naps go fr...

Re: air blowing on wife from vent
Pillow wall is the solution for wifey and me.
I was never able to sleep on my side facing the wifey before CPAP because of shortness of breath.
I love being able to sleep on the "new" side, on my back.... it is like a whole new sleeping life!
