Re: Poll: Should OT posts be banned from cpaptalk.com?
I agree with webguy for separate sections on the forum. It's the middle-ground on the idea and a fair compromise. People who have problems, their posts won't be 'pushed down' and anyone wanting to 'ignore' OT discussions can easily do so. I think that an important part of a support group is friendsh...

Re: CPAP and Blood Pressure
Thanks for the info about my machine. I did update it. I guess I didn't realize PR stood for Philips Respironics (lol). Anyway, my pressure is set at 6. I will keep hoping I suppose. Never hurts to hope. Do people usually lose weight? My doctor never mentioned that but as we know, my doctor doesn't ...

CPAP and Blood Pressure
So I've been on the CPAP for three weeks as of this coming Monday. I think changing to the nasal pillow helped a ton! I sleep all through the night and don't wake up til morning. I am, however, still sleepy in the morning and by about 3:00 PM. Not sure if it's related to the treatment though because...

Re: scar tissue in heart
This is really interesting. Thanks for passing it along. I've been going through a lot of heart-related tests lately but I've had two ultrasounds of my heart recently so I know mine is okay in that sense. Still, it's good incentive to keep on going with the therapy! I hope my blood pressure drops wi...

Re: Groggy in the morning
Glad this wasn't something that was happening to just me. I assumed it was a thing that would go away after a while. It's kind of odd because I feel like I have mental energy but my body feels tired. It hits me again in the evening. I have noticed it getting a bit better and tonight will be my 7th n...

Re: Help! Apnea seems better than the treatment!
Thanks for your support guys! I went to the DME before work yesterday and was politely pushy. I got my OptiLife nasal pillow and that was MUCH better. The end of my nose hurt a little this morning but I think I can deal with that. When I woke up to potty in the middle of the night, it put a bit of p...

Re: Help! Apnea seems better than the treatment!
Thanks for the reply! I'm not sure if my insurance will work with another DME but I might call and ask. I know that the one that I have was pretty much assigned to me by the sleep doctor so it might be the case that I have to use them. (I have student health insurance so they are VERY picky about wh...

Help! Apnea seems better than the treatment!
I just found out I have obstructive sleep apnea. I didn't really seem to have a lot of sleep issues beforehand though I was tired in the day. Never really snored. The only reason I had a sleep test is recent (still undiagnosed) heart issues related to hypertension that I've had since about 3 years o...
