I am new to this and would like some help understanding my sleepyhead report. I assume that it is ok since my AHI is low, but don't understand what everything means and what is important to watch out for. Thanks

Re: Kaiser Senior Advantage and CPAP Supplies
After going around in circles for the past week I have finally been able to resolve this problem. So for anyone who has Kaiser Sr. Advantage in Atlanta, GA, this is how it works: If you were refered to the Sleep Disorders Center of Georgia and diagnosed with sleep apnea, then they become your DME fo...

Re: Kaiser Senior Advantage and CPAP Supplies
I have Kaiser in the Northern California region and they follow Medicare Guidelines. Medicare guidelines cover TWO nasal pillows per MONTH, one mask every three months. The AHI is calculated by the number of events divided by the hours of therapy which can be completely different from the hours of sleep. For the AHI to be acura...

Re: Actual hours of sleep
I just can't find a comfortable position to sleep with the mask on. The mask itself is very comfortable and no problems with leaks no matter how much I turn and toss. Don't want to take sleeping pills. It's only been 4 weeks since going on cpap...hopefully I'll be able to get use to it soon. Really ...

That is why we hope and wish that every patient had the capability to actually see what happened during the night. By the way you can get...
