To be clear - my 11.5 hours was highly unusual and I wasn't able to sleep much the next day.

this is more typical of a week:

Re: How to adjust S9 settings for high altitude?

Fellow CPAPrs, I have searched for a solid answer to this question before, but no luck. Can anyone give me opinion/guidance on how to adjust my S9 Autoset to operate at 9600 ft above sea level? I am going on a skiing trip to Breckinridge Colorado and since the S9 only auto adjusts to 8500 ft, want ...

Probably not a factor - all home cooking those days

Re: Unusual night - any ideas?

Is it possible that this hour so close to your wake up time was a period of being in a semi awake state? Tossing and turning and such? Was the other episode at about the same time? About same hour of duration? If it happens again try to think back during the night to any possible sleep disruptions....

George, if this becomes a frequent pattern, then definitely go see your doctor. Though to my layman's eyes, the breathing pattern appears to be Cheyne-Stokes Respiration, I sim...

Re: Unusual night - any ideas?

I saw the post. Most unusual and I had no thoughts except when no rational explanation..Aliens messing with us again. If this is an extreme rarity..without seeing all the other entire reports to get an overall idea what might be going on, I can't offer anything other than I don't know and sometimes...

Re: Persistent sinus aches

Ask your ENT if you can benefit from using a Neti Pot. Some ENTs think the Neti Pot is not good as it doesn't come with a prescription or mainline medicine. Perhaps you should ask your naturopathic doctor : ) If you decide to use the Neti Pot do not use tap water! Use slightly warmed distilled wate...

Persistent sinus aches

I've always been prone to aches around my right eye in the brow bone and cheek bone but these have become more persistent and pronounced since starting APAP 3 weeks ago. Anyone one else experience this? and, yes, I'm planning on seeing the doc to ask about possible sinus infections/inflammation. I a...

Re: I think my ears were put on too high

Same mask - same issue

The strap was rubbing my ear/head juncture so I also just put the straps over the tops of my ears. Seems to work fine.

The Opus 360 mask was also pointed out as a good altenative. I'll probably try it when I get a new mask.

Re: Split night good/bad?

I think sleep cycles run around 90 minutes so i don't believe that the several hours of problems were sleep cycle related. The first couple that woke me up may have been. There is a difference - there is a reason night shift is called the graveyard shift. You have something called a circadian rhyth...

Re: Split night good/bad?

By split night I thought you meant you were scheduled for a split night in-lab PSG. Sorry about that... My guess is that as you progressed thru the night into deeper and deeper sleep cycles you progressed to a point where you needed a smidge more pressure than you were getting. Generally the later ...
