Re: How does Aircurve 10 S mode work?
Thanks for the replies. It makes better sense to me now. If I am getting this trigger settings are normally left alone. CAs in the beginning is to be expected. My old auto cpap was set pretty much set at open at 10/18 with c-flex 3. It seems to me didn't spend a lot of time at 18? Usually between 12...

How does Aircurve 10 S mode work?
Hello All, New user of Aircurve 10 S. My current settings are IPAP 16 EPAP 12. Don't understand the function of the "Spontaneous" mode? Seems functionally similar to APAP with C Flex set to 3? Except no auto? Really don't get the trigger settings? I have been using the new bilevel for 2 months now w...

Re: FINALLY AN AHI "0" NIGHT
Thanks Pam,
Yes it does a good job minimizing my shoulder pain through the night. It is going to be a short term thing 2 months is when I go back to Dr. Have not had any side effects so far either.

Dropped 20 lbs apnea numbers have improved.
Hello All, Since 1 Jan I have dropped over 20 lbs mostly due to eating smarter (fewer calories and less meat) and getting serious about my cycling program. I have noticed a couple of things with my apnea numbers. They have consisently decreased to below 3 formally they were around 4 or 5. I also dro...

Re: Looking for advice on masks.. Fisher and Paykel 431 of 432
Thanks everyone for the feedback.. I do appreciate it. I just recently got a new quattro fx but still think I may get some kind of an under the chin version next time. Thanks for the ideas. I did try many nasal masks early on with zero success. Got to figure that my jaw is dropping occasionally with...

Looking for advice on masks.. Fisher and Paykel 431 of 432
Hello, I am currently using resmed quattro ff its ok. I have been using it for almost 9 months. I Like the feature of under the chin that F&P 431/432 offers. I occasionally have problems with mask slipping up my chin as high up as my bottom lip. I am full bearded too which I understand can cause tro...

Re: Strange Dreams since using the CPAP
Hello All, Really interesting post to me. I had much the same experience. Been on CPAP now for almost 9 months. Prior to CPAP I almost never had any knowledge of a dream. Maybe as a kid but certainly not for the last several years? Starting at my sleep study and pretty much ever since have been havi...

Re: Very happy with APAP
Thanks hades161... Sounds like a good idea. I suppose as long as I am not going above a certain rate at some point it would make sense to lock machine at a maximum just above highest used pressure predicted? I suspect the reverse would be true too if rate never went above the lower setting to drop m...

Very happy with APAP
Hello All, I have been using APAP for last month. My AHI numbers have went way down from straight CPAP set at 13cm... Feel good and sleeping 6 or 7 hrs a night. Right now I average an AHI of 4 or less. Been tracking pressures used vs AHI. Currently have machine (PRS1) set at 12-20. The average press...
