Evaluating and Choosing a Sleep Lab Dallas, TX
I imagine that some labs are better than others. If I do have another sleep study, I'd like to get as much info as possible. How do I find out which labs to consider? Any recommendations for Dallas, Denton, Collin or Tarrant Counties in Texas?

Re: What can you tell me about this ResMed Autoset?
Thank you. We did get into the menu, and set the upper range all the way up to 20. I figure it will only get there if I need it. We found the settings didn't reflect the attached humidifier, so changed that as well. I'm not sure why, but it worked better, even at the low initial setting. The motor w...

It is beige with blue. The pressure is getting less each night, I'd like to increase the pressure if I can.

What info do I need to have included in my Rx for Medicare
The doctor who did my original testing is now out of network. My family doctor is willing to write me a new prescription, and has my records. What info do I need to have included? In the past, my Rx was sent directly to the provider (Apria) who never bothered retaining a copy. Until I read this foru...

Re: Any suggestions on finding a new local DME providerDallasTX
CraigsList is a great idea, especially now that I can find some information on the various machines. I'm pretty sure that Medicare will only pay for a new one, but I will check. I don't like spending more of my money than I have to, so why should I spend more of the taxpayers' money than needed?

What can you tell me about this ResMed Autoset?
I would like to know if I can determine the pressure it's putting out, and if I can adjust it. I'd also like to know if there's accessible software in there that might have some useful data. I plan to get a new one, but it will be awhile before I select and order it. ResMed AutoSpirit, model no. R30...

Re: Is it time for a new sleep study?
Hi Deborah and So Well, My main health issue is ME, which means that at good times I have about 20% of the energy and stamina of a normal person my age. Other times I'm a lot worse. I know that sleep problems are very common with ME, even without apnea. My own sleep quality varies, though the apnea ...

Is it time for a new sleep study?
My first study was 15 or 20 years ago. The second a few years later gave the same results. My current pressure seems to handle my apnea just fine. The machine has gotten a bit noisy, but that's just the machine, not air leaks, etc. Has the information gained from sleep studies changed a lot? I reall...

Re: Any suggestions on finding a new local DME providerDallasTX
Thanks everyone. My insurance is Medicare, and I'm in Flower Mound, Denton County which is near Dallas, TX. My preference is to have someone within a 20 minute drive from my home, which may not be realistic. (I don't drive, so depend on others) I'm starting to think that mail-order might not be too ...

Any suggestions on finding a new local DME providerDallasTX
I need to replace my machine, and there are several relatively local providers to choose from. The only two I've worked with in the past have been bad and worse.

looking for equipment in Denton County, TX
Hi everyone. I've been on CPAP for almost 20 years, and need a new machine. I'm looking for a responsible equipment provider nearby. For years I was with Apria in Dallas, and wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. I don't think I've ever worked with a more disorganized business. I thought I'd do bett...
