Re: Will the sleep programs work with Windows 8 (out oct 26)

I purchased my current desktop which is an HP about 6 months ago that came with Windows 7 and was wondering whether to update also to Win 8. I checked with HP and they also recommended waiting another 5 or 6 months to let Microsoft catch up on the drivers they do not have yet. The main advantage wit...

Re: Resmed S9 Filters

Mine gets a dark gray after about a month. Hmmm, make me wonder if mine is sucking in air from somewhere besides through the filter. I have had my machine for about 16 months now and have never seen that filter dirty. I did change it once but only because everyone seemed to be saying it should be c...

Re: Resmed S9 Filters

Are you referring to that small filter behind the main unit under a plastic cover? I cant imagine how it got black unless it has been in the unit for 15 or 20 years. I think I changed mine several months ago but it was a year old and did not look dirty at all nor even dusty. Dis you perhaps have you...

She cannot be without oxygen-at all, and when they travel, the offices have been very useful, and easy to contact.
Thanks for the reply, I don't see where I could be worse off.

Re: Thinking of changing O2 and cpap suppliers

I call the 1-800 Apria, they look up my account number, I tell them what supplies I need, they get approval from the insurance company, and about a week later, my stuff comes in the mail. Sheriff That would probably work but how are they going to make my bi-monthly liquid oxygen delivery? That is u...

Re: Thinking of changing O2 and cpap suppliers

There are terrible Apria units and good ones. I would beg to differ on that. The corruption of this company lies primarily with the corporate level in both the regional and billing offices. They bill for services and equipment never provided and most of the insurance companies don't buck them becau...

Thinking of changing O2 and cpap suppliers

I am wondering if anyone here has experience with Lincare? I currently have crapia and thinking seriously of changing to someone else but I don't want to jump out of the skillet into the fire.

Re: Low O2 questions

... It's 92% or lower. WTF? Where did you get the idea that 92% is bad? It isn't that bad; when it is below 88 or 89% it is not good but most pulmonologists consider bad below 85% or lower for a prolonged period of time. In the first place, oximeter are not that accurate and some vary by = or - 6 p...

Hi portiemom, My families prayers are with you and your family also. Try to keep in mind; There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that y...

Re: OT - Bipolar Disorder

A lot of these stories of mental illness are sad indeed. This syndrome was known as manic-depressive disorder about twenty years ago. It was then as it is now pretty much a "garbage-can" diagnosis like schizophrenia was before that, used when clinicians did not know what else to call it. That is no...

Re: Possible Afib & Cpap????

Oh my goodness, I was not told that, I will be asking the Cardio & my RT about this. Although most cardiologists will order and EKG to confirm how serious a person’s afib is, they can usually hear the irregularity through a stethoscope. It can be serious but if you follow your doctor’s recommendati...

Re: Possible Afib & Cpap????

I will find out the results of my heart tests Friday, but the dr thinks I possibly suffer from Afib. What I would like to know is how will that effect the use of Cpap???? kaiya Sleep apnea and afib are usually interrelated. My afib is the ONLY reason I am on a cpap now and that was at the insistenc...

I wasn't sure if you meant borrowing from his 401K or if using Lincare was not a good choice? I have been trying to find another DME provider to get away from Apria (aka: Crapia).

Re: Need to know how to upgrade sleepy Head

I just checked mine and it does have the version 9.2 but it updates automatically. Check your settings and see if you can set it to check for you, it's a lot easier.
