Re: looking for cpap supplier recommendations Ontario Canada

My suggestion is that use this forum, information from the internet in general BEFORE you visit the DME. I ended up training the RRT there ...

Nasal pillow Vs nasal mask
I am new to cpap. Have been using a nasal mask for 6 weeks now. Although it is acceptable, but it is not comfortable. Also recently I started feeling warm in the areas covered by the mask. Re: Canadian cpap.com users (Ontario OHIP)
Word of advice. Before going to the DME do your own research and make up your mind what machine and mask you should get.
The RMT here had less knowledge than mine gained by going through CPAP.com details. They just want to sell that is it.

Oxygen level below 90% for 1/2 hr during the night
During my sleep study, the oxygen level was below 90% for 5 % of the sleeping time ( or about 25 minutes during the night)
The lowest it went was 69%.
How bad is this.
If you can comment on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the worst)
Thanks in advance

New to sleep apnea- Selecting CPAP machine
I was recently diagnosed with moderately severe sleep apnea (48 AHI). Oxygen went as low as 69% during the sleep study. Have been asked to start at 5 Cm CPAP machine before my titration study in about 4 weeks. Thanks to this forum I did all my homework myself before going to the CPAP machine provide...
