Most insurance companies follow Medicare guidelines. Those say you can replace your cushions/pillows and disposable filters each month. The frame (hard plastic part of mask) and long tubing every 3 months, and the headgear, non disposable filter, humidifier chamber, every 6 months. There are good ar...

atypically you have a 30 day trial period to try out a mask. The Swift FX may not be the mask for you. It is prescribed because it is one of the lightest masks out there. A nasal pillow mask may not work for you. Have you looked at the new styles for a over the nose nasal mask? Respironics is a comp...

I may not be following this question well, as far as what you refer to as the headrest. But, large bore tubing is also available in 8 and 10 ft lengths. billed at the same price or should be as the 6 ft.

They do make a hose wrap for a 6 ft tubing. this would insulate the hose from the outside temp. There is also machines on the market (Fisher & Paykel 600 series, ResMed S9) that utilize a heated tubing, that may work.

remember cushions typically are allowed to be replaced each month, so if the headgear is tight to prevent a leaking on the cushion. Probably a time to replace it. The headgear is typically every 6 months, per Medicare guidelines.
