Re: ARRRGGGG SecondWind and Paypal
I feel the original poster's pain over PayPal fees, but I don't see this as an issue with Secondwind.... It is an issue with Secondwind. The fees charged by paypal are because Secondwind sends money as a payment to a business rather than as a money transfer like a check between two people. I was not...

Re: ARRRGGGG SecondWind and Paypal
you got buyer protection from paypal, which is a business. I did not get buyer protection and it was not necessary for this transaction. Buyer protection is to protect the buyer incase the seller does not ship the product or it is broken they are protected and get their money back. Had they sent th...

ARRRGGGG Watch out for Paypal fees from SecondWind.com
ARRRGGGGG!!!! I guess I am just feeling ripped off. I had a S9 Elite with Humidifier with 300 hours that I sold to Second Wind CPAP. I wanted to sell it and thought why not use Second Wind. I sent them the information and he said they are offering 260.00 for this machine with low hours. Though I fe...

Sleep Apnea New Cholesterol
Visited my sleep doctor for the first time. One thing he said was that the study of sleep apnea is still in it's infancy. I have a mixed bag of complex sleep apnea that is more difficult then run of the mill OSA. He said that my age, health neck size, and throat structure all indicate I should not h...

Re: ASV users: the everything ASV thread.
I was wondering the same thing. My PTB has been averaging about 65 to 70 with a backu RR of 12. When I looked at Encore Pro it was not clear but if you look at your data with Sleepy Head you will see that a non PTB is any time your RR is 12 or your set backup RR. My average RR is about 14 but when I...

Re: Help with ASV settings
I went to the VA today and saw my PCP. She said the sleep doctor that read my sleep study is the same sleep doctor that works with the VA and does not see any reason they should require me to do another sleep study. She took copies of all my sleep studies and prescription and is sending them to the ...

Here is another try:
https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid= ... i&hl=en_US
I don't know why it will not show. Perhaps because it is a large PDF file.
This is my Encore Data from the last four days.

Re: Help with ASV settings
I am convinced that the titration is only as good as the technicians. Some are better than others and some care and some just don't care..... They are like auto mechanics. Some can diagnose and repair any problem and others are just hit and miss part changers. The resmed ASV only has three settings....

Re: Help with ASV settings
The titration will not tell you how to set the Ti. All it does is set your EPAP and IPAP with recommended BPM setting. The rest is trial and error with lots of errors. I have never met with my sleep doctor. I have my first appointment in November. I have had three sleep studies. One was a titration ...

Re: Help with ASV settings
After rethinking things I set back to bi-flex 3. My Ti is still 1.2 the default setting. On the bi-level I tried for a month I set the Ti to 3 and felt comfortable. last night my AHI was high. https://docs.google.com/viewer?pid=explorer&srcid=0B86TkL9774qNYmE5OTZhMzUtZTBlMy00MDdiLWJhMGQtYzg5OTljZDk1...
