Re: Can the slightly overweight stop apnea with weight loss?
Thanks for the comments everyone. Now my comments: I lost most of the extra weight at one time, had trouble sleeping, did a sleep study, and they added pressure. This was predicted by one of your comments and answers the question of whether I’m on a CPAP. The extra pressure was so much that my mouth...

Can the slightly overweight stop apnea with weight loss?
I developed sleep apnea at about the same time as gaining slight weight (and other things). I went from 155 pounds (normal for my sex/age/height) to 170 pounds. 165 pounds is the upper range of normal for my sex/age/height. I can easily stay at 170, lose 5 pounds with little effort, lose 10 with eff...

Re: What about these mouth opening solutions?
I looked and looked and the only mouth guard with no breathing holes I could find was the one from the guy in the video mentioned earlier in this thread. I bought it. It worked except for one thing not related to the mouth guard itself: The edge of my lips closest to the pillow when I’m sleeping on ...

Re: What about these mouth opening solutions?
The actual one used in the video is here, according to the guy in the video, whom I e-mailed: http://www.centurymartialarts.com/Sparring_Gear/Mouthguards/Double_Mouthpiece.aspx#FullProdInfo I'm getting it, having not found one locally without breathing holes. Also, FYI, I tried other masks but my st...

Thanks for the replies.
And thanks, especially, for the double mouth guard suggestion through the video.

What about these mouth opening solutions?
After years of CPAP use, my mouth started opening and therefore leaking. My doctor had me do a sleep study. My sleep tech tried a chin strap and it worked, except not completely during REM sleep. But she concludes it is the solution. She also said two other things might work instead of or combined w...

Re: Aeiomed HeadRest Nasal Pillows
A couple of things: I called the AEIOMed guy listed on their Web site and he says only the Everest machine's factory burned down and they will continue to make the mask and nasal seal. I saw on another board that someone says that same guy says they aren't making anything. The mask design is actuall...
