Re: whistling machine on inhale. suggestions?
My PR1 was making that noise in the first weeks that I had it. I lifted it off the floor and put it on a table more even with the mattress. Make certain that you aren't lying on the hose or that a heavy blanket or pillow isn't on top of the hose. It may be vibration from something lying on or touchi...

And from a proud Canadian Maritimer four more reasons to love our country:
1) Hockey
2) Clean ocean-side beaches
3) 4 distinct seasons
4) Snow skiing

Re: Personal Exp. with In Home Testing for sleep disorders
No, I didn't get a copy of the sleep test. It was forwarded to my GP and I was only told verbally that I have mild sleep apnea, no snoring, no Centrals, 7.8 OA. If it were not for having uncontrolled hypertension, I wouldn't even use the CPAP. My insurance didn't cover the rental of the machine, bec...

Re: Personal Exp. with In Home Testing for sleep disorders
I had my sleep test a home. A meter was stuck on my finger and a monitor was strapped to my chest, while a canula was attached to my nose. I returned the gear the next day to the DME. There is a SD card in the chest monitor which he read and told me that I have mild sleep apnea and he sent a report ...

Re: Many Thanks
I have the Clinician's Manual and figured out how to change my settings. I upped the pressure to 6 from 4 and while the pressure didn't "bother" me per se, I found myself awake a lot. Finally at 4:00 PM, I was awake for so long that I decided to remove the mask and get a few minutes of sleep, even t...

Re: Many Thanks
Rested Gal asked: What pressure range is my machine set to: The therapist where I bought my machine has it set to 4 - 16. I asked him about the "4" because during my 1 month trial it ranged about 6 - 9, but he insisted I needed the 4 for the first few minutes when I went to sleep. Last night the 90%...

Re: Many Thanks
Thanks for the heads-up cflame1 and Janknitz for the useful info. Now if only Canada Post would settle the strike, maybe my software could arrive within the next short time. You're correct, the screen only shows 7 and 30 days averages, and I'm only using it fot the second night tonight. I won't get ...

Many Thanks
I've been reading lots of your posts for the past month and just picked up my CPAP machine yesterday. Because of all the great hints I've gotten in the past month, last night with the machine went so much better than I expected it would. I only have mild sleep apnea, but my blood pressure is "off th...
