Re: EncoreViewer 2.1 Software Question
Does anyone know of a resource to get an upgrade-only version of Encore Viewer 2.1.3? I have 2.0, just can't see myself shelling out the same amount as I did originally for what amounts to an upgrade, but I can't seem to find an upgrade version.

Re: Results in
Just thought I would share: I wake up on average 38 times an hour. I breath shallow for most of the night. Average blood oxygen is 87 percent Longest without breathing is 45 seconds. Not central, it's all obstructive. Doctor has asked me to get a second doctor to begin a slow taper off my benzo med...

Re: What were you like........
Prior to starting on CPAP, how would you describe yourself and how you felt? A little tired? Moody? Can't focus? Usually OK? Or like a zombie? How did your SO ('significant other') feel about it? I've been on CPAP therapy for two weeks now and can honestly say I feel like a newly revived person. Pr...

Re: Swift FX XS nasal pillows....whistling?!
I have a Swift FX and it seems like the extra-small nasal pillows fit better than the small, although I can switch between them. However, the extra-small pillow "whistles" when I try to use it and it drives me crazy! Has anyone else noticed that? Is there a way to fix it (boiling or something?) Per...

Re: Building SleepyHead for Mac OS X 10.6 from Source Code
Wow. Thanks for this, Jimbo. I'm going to give it a try this weekend. I'd love to be able to use sleepyhead on my iMac. Have you by chance tried to use something like Virtual Box or Parallels? I've tried Virtual Box but can't seem to get the SD card reader recognized on the VM.

Re: Camping Battery Setup for an Resmed S9 Autoset
I got myself a new camping battery setup for my ResMed S9 autoset. ... When I got my battery I charged it up and put it to work to "test" it before I had to rely on it camping. It worked flawlessly and ran my CPAP for two nights at a total of 15.5 hours and still was showing a 3/4 charge left in th...

Re: First week of therapy numbers: feedback?
Overall numbers are quite good. Check your daily detailed graphs to see if you happened to have any little groups of events. Sometimes these clusters can impact how we feel next day despite low AHI. Also try to remember if sleep is fragmented for any reason. Also look at hours of sleep. Both will i...

First week of therapy numbers: feedback?
I completed my first week of CPAP use and I have to say it's made a huge difference. I had two days of awesome sleep (asterisks) and felt so rested the next day. I cannot believe how much better I feel. I wanted to share my first week of numbers and get some input, especially on those two days of gr...

Re: Swift FX - top strap keeps slipping backwards
Huh??? Just grab the back strap and pull it off over your head. It shouldn't be so tight that this is not possible. Nothing at all to do with being tight. Putting the mask on you move the straps towards the back of your head to put the mask in place and the velcro slides along doing its gripping th...

Re: Swift FX - top strap keeps slipping backwards
One more thing, quick Velcro lesson. So that everyone is on the same page and communicates clearly, the stiff side of velcro with the hooks is called the "hook" side, and the fuzzy side is called the "loop" side (Official velcro terminology, I swear ) So it's the hook side that helps the most in ke...

Re: Swift FX - top strap keeps slipping backwards
Some people put the looped side (the "grabby" side) of a strip of Velcro on the underside of their mask strap(s) to keep them from moving around at night. The loops have the ability to "grab" the hair and keep the straps in place. Not sure how well it would work with very fine straight hair, though...

Re: Swift FX - top strap keeps slipping backwards
I had the same problem with the Swift FX--until I read a post by someone here (sorry, can't find it) suggesting that the cheek cover thingamabobies not be used at all. That, and tucking the backstrap under my hair made big difference for me. Good luck with the velcro! I met with my work friend who'...

Re: Swift FX - top strap keeps slipping backwards
We all do crazy things around here ... in the interests of getting good CPAP treatment. There was a time seven years ago that I would not have believed I'd be putting a big piece of tape across my mouth every night. Or buying pantyhose tights just to cut their legs off to put around my head. Pantyh...

Re: Swift FX - top strap keeps slipping backwards
I use the Swift Fx also, and my guess is that your top strap is too tight. Mine was placed on my head rather loosely by the DME RT who told me to tighten the face straps only to keep the pillows in place. The top head strap does not even touch my head. I am also a side-sleeper, and rarely, if ever,...
