Thanks. It is just such a change and the higher pressure is waking me up.
I do have OSCAR software installed but I know nothing about analyzing it. The concerning thing is the high number of apneas on some nights.

at home sleep study
in 2011 I had an in lab sleep study. Found to have moderate sleep apnea (6.7 event per hour). Prescribed an auto PAP by resmed. For years my pressures averaged around 10 and events 2 or less. Now my pressures range 13-14 and events range from 3 to 7 averaging about 3.8. I am not sleeping well. My re...

aerophagia
I have used an APAP for close to 10 years. Haven't visited here in quite a while. Since I first visited I've changed my machine to an airsense 10 and mask to one of those resmed foam masks. Fit is good. Leak is nominal. I am a mouth breather. I have always had bouts of aerophagia. Chin straps don't ...

Re: Filling water chamber
I rather like the idea. I find it awkward to remove the humidfier chamber and fill it without slopping around. One risk is cracking the plastic when you drill. Go slow, starting with a smaller bit. Or, better yet, use a step bit. The next issue is finding a plug for the hole that works. A rubber sto...

Re: ResMed AirSense 10 whines
Happened to me. Machine was out of warranty. I ordered a new humidifier pan and it cured the problem.

Re: Machine or me?
Maybe I figured it out. I thought I had changed the port that goes between the hose and mask but I just tried both masks again and one seem not to be allowing any air to escape. The other is. This might be it. I am wearing the mask that does allow air to escape the port and it seems fine. I'll try t...

Re: Machine or me?
Checked hose, humidifier, all fine. Changed masks and ports to mask. Nothing apparent that is wrong.

Machine or me?
I have used my ResMed Autoset S9 for four years with few issues. Tonight I put the mask on (I use full face masks, am a mouth breather) and turned on the machine and immediately felt like I couldn't breath. The machine had no signs of malfunction, air is blowing out the hose just fine. I take off th...

Re: New Quattro Air FFM
I haven't been on this forum for a while but I thought I would report on my experience with this mask. I ordered it because I have been having a lot of trouble with nose pain from masks. This mask spares my nose. I have not noticed the issue some report here with the exhaust ports, and I am a side s...

Re: Provent as OSA Therapy
I have a supply of Provent and an oximeter to test to see if my oxygen levels drop or not. I haven't done it yet. I lost electricity one night and started trying the Provent. I did not find it easy to use. It felt like my nostrils were plugged up. I couldn't get to sleep. The electricity went on and...

Re: Is untreated/undiagnosed SA considered preexisting condition
Here I was never going to go on this forum again after I was told by a poster that my career should be illegal (I was a lobbyist on consumer health care matters). Oh well, there is no sin in changing one's mind. And I saw your post and I see misinformation from several posters. You have not been tre...

Re: OT: MedPage Today Survey - Debt Ceiling
I am sorry that this topic ever came up. I retired because I could not longer stand that misinformation became SOP. Now this discussion which I never should have viewed has spoiled this forum for me. I do not have the time or inclination to go through all the systematic issues our government has and...

Re: OT: MedPage Today Survey - Debt Ceiling
And so you would default on our obligations? Because that is what would happen. We would indeed default on our obligations, if Obama chose to pay for enough other things before our debt service that there was not enough to service the debt. If debt service is paid first, then we would not default. ...
