Re: Why is my AHI high ?
You should not change your pressures willy-nilly. Meaning....make a change of .5 or 1, then try it for a week, if that doesn't help, do it again, but you need to stay at one setting for 5 to 7 days to see any differences. Case in point,my machine is set from 10 to 13 my ahi is usually 0.0, but Mond...

Re: Why is my AHI high ?
Lots of REALLY great information here ! I sure appreciate everyone. But the news is about to get worse .... Last night I tried an experiment and turned my machine back down to the 11 it used to be set at. Here are the numbers : Leak ....0.00 AHI ...... 51.2 AI ....... 23.1 HI ........ 28.1 The only ...

Re: Why is my AHI high ?
No ... I am not very Tech savvy, and I do not have a lot of knowledge about apnea details past the fact I have to sleep with a machine that worked PERFECTLY for me for 10 years. I only know I am having some issues now, and do not have the luxury of a sleep study at this time. But I can now see I wil...

Re: Why is my AHI high ?
Your machine is data capable, however, it needs a special card reader in order to import the data into the software you install on your computer. The card readers are very hard to come by since your machine is an old model. That said, your DME should be able to read the card for you and give you a ...

Re: Why is my AHI high ?
No mouth breathing going on ... I am taping.BlackSpinner wrote:You are probably mouth breathing. Try a full face mask or taping your mouth to eliminate that possibility.
Then try upping your pressure some more.
Or maybe you could rent an APAP from your DME for a week?

Why is my AHI high ?
I could really use some help ... I have had my AHI hovering around 28 for the several nights I have been checking it lately. As an experiment, I upped my pressure by 2 and then another 2 on the next night, but my AHI stays the same. My machine is showing almost zero leaking is happening. I do not ha...

Re: AHI on Elite II machine ....
Oh hell .... That's what I was afraid of. I am now at a loss ! I have upped my pressure by a number of 2, and am now taping my mouth very effectively .... MY leak shows only 0.02 , yet my AHI is 28.4 I am now at a loss with NO insurance, which means no new sleep study. I guess I start upping my pres...

AHI on Elite II machine ....
On my Elite II machine, when it displays the day's AHI under the results menu, is that figure already averaged over the night, or does that number still need to be divided by the hours I slept ?

Re: MILLET PILLOW
How is Millet different from Buckwheat ? I know it is two different materials, but how do they compare as far as general traits ? Millet is the little round Parakeet seed. It is softer/smaller than buckwheat. Louise Hmm ... It seems the Millet would be considerably more comfortable than the Buckwhe...

Re: Is there a way to try different masks ?
Who has used an online purchase with "insurance?" How does the "return insurance" work? Suppose you buy a mask for $100 and add $25 for "insurance." If the mask doesn't work, do you get back $100 or $125? You NEVER get your insurance payment back.....If you have an never have an accident with your ...

A Horror story of Epic proportions / Encouraging for Newbies
I want to share with everyone how I was rudely introduced to sleep apnea. I lived in Houston TX 12 years ago with my wife. I was 32 at the time, and had slept like a baby all of my life with NO issues. We went to a bar with some friends one night, and suddenly my heart started tp race crazily. Minut...
