Re: Resmed S9 Augotset or System One REMstar Auto with A-Flex
I have both an S9 and a PRS1. If I had to choose between the two, I would pick the S9. Its quieter , ergonomically more appealing (to me), has a heated tube (climateline), and the display is a million times better being a color LCD. The PRS1 is a great machine as well, no real complaints about it. I...

Re: Lifespan of S9 Autoset hypoallergenic filter?
In my most recent order with our hosts, I purchased a dozen of their house brand S9 hypoallergenic filters, which I intend on changing at the first of every month... they're less expensive than the brand name and are a small monthly price to pay to keep the air that is being forced into my lungs as...

Resmed S9 Hypo Filter (generic vs oem)
Just thought I'd share with everyone my experience with the S9 Hypoallergenic Filters. I purchased both the OEM from resmed (part # 36856) and generic from cpap.com. The cost of the OEM part was a little more expensive being $4.95 for 2 (2.47 each) versus 13.95 for 6 (2.32 each). Cost aside, one thi...

Re: Quattro FX sizing
I used a medium sized Mirage Quattro. I switched to the Quattro FX like 5 months ago and use a medium size. No problems since. Hope you like the new mask, I love it!

Re: Leaky cushion on Quattro FX
There was a recent conversation about the Quattro FX here: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64958&st=0&sk=t&sd=a I posted my comments on what has helped me get rid of all the leaks on this mask. I used the old Mirage Quattro for over a year and switched about 3.5 months ago toe hte Quattr...

Re: Mirage Quattro leaving red marks on neck
I also had acne like bumps when I first started using my Mirage Quattro way back last year. Happened to be at the Dermatologist for something else and pointed it out. My Dermatologist recognized it right away and simply just prescribed me a topical solution: Clindamycin Phosphate which is an mild an...

Re: Newbie requests help choosing APAP: PR1 or S9?
I also have both the PRS1 and the S9. My PRS1 is over a year old so, undoubtedly its the older version. Not really sure if you could go wrong picking either unit but if I had to pick a single unit, I would pick the S9. What I like about the S9 over the PRS1: -Quieter -Climateline Heated Hose -Much m...

Re: 2 questions about the Quattro FX mask...
I've had my Quattro FX for about 10 weeks now, and I can at least answer the first question. I wash my mask every day, just like I did with my old Mirage Quattro. Here's what I do: Daily Cleaning I do every morning: -Disconnect spring frame and straps (don't wash) -Remove cushion from frame. Note: M...

Re: Quattro FX - I'm Done!
Why fight pressure at all? Put the mask on with the machine off, then turn the machine on. If you have problems with this, put the mask on without the hose attached, then attach the hose to the mask. Because the Mirage Quattro and Quattro FX both have a doubled walled cushion which is meant to be f...

Re: Quattro FX - I'm Done!
Long time lurker, first time poster. Figured since I've gotten so much info lurking here that I should contribute where I can by posting my experiences with the Quattro FX. I switched over from the Mirage Quattro about a 6 weeks ago. Initially I struggled quite a bit with leaks along the nose bridge...
