Does anyone have hypermobility or ehlers-danlos syndrome?
I'm just trying to get an understanding around my UARS. I'm one of those people who must know why things are the way they are. I've been told by Physical Therapists that I'm "hypermobile". I can see this in some of my joints as well. I don't think that I have Ehlers-danlos syndrome, but I do wonder ...

acupuncture
Has anyone tried alternative medicine methods such as acupuncture for their sleep disorder?
curious about what options are out there & what others have experienced. I have UARS, wondering if it would help with the tissue resistance and stress points.
thanks

Re: solution for lifting straps away from cheeks?
Thanks Everyone! When I first started wearing my CPAP in february I felt better about the fit. The tech set me up with the straps and pillows perfectly. Then one of my dogs decided to chew the pillows. When I got my replacement about a month or so ago, I fit the straps. I haven't felt the same since...

solution for lifting straps away from cheeks?
I have the swift FX for her nasal pillows interface. I feel like the straps push the pillows into my nares too far. this becomes uncomfortable and sometimes obstructs the flow. I feel like if there was something to space the area between my cheek and the straps, it would help this. this way the pill...

Re: Imposter
you may not have apneas. but doesn't mean you don't have a sleep disorder. You could have Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS). no apnea events but respiratory effort related arousals (RERAs). seems like it is an underdiagnosed syndrome. it is what I have too. For which CPAP is indicated! again, ...

Re: Cheynes-Stokes Respiration
HI I'm a new member here and I also work in healthcare. I'm a Respiratory Therapist. Cheyne-Stokes Respiration is an abnormal pattern of respiration that is often seen in central sleep apnea and neurologic conditions like traumatic brain injuries. It is also associated with heart failure. If I under...

Re: curious if anyone has been thru a pregnancy on CPAP
Hi All thanks so much for all the advice. I will definitely look at Dr. Park's website, thanks for the links! I will also look up the article from BMJ, thanks! I am already consistently wearing my CPAP w/o missing a night. It is an auto-titrating CPAP with the data card also. So good on those points...

curious if anyone has been thru a pregnancy on CPAP
Hi I'm a new CPAP pt. recently diagnosed with UARS. I am actually a Respiratory Therapist, which is kind of funny.... so I'm not new to CPAP in that respect. Been taking care of people for 10 years, just not myself. Anyway, I know that pregnancy changes your body & upper airway anatomy. My husband a...
