Hose length change flow/pressure?
Hello all - I am considering changing from a 6' hose to a 10' hose so I can relocate my machine. Do you think the added length will make any differences in the volume and pressure of air at the mask? I am wondering if it will affect the C-Flex feature that I have gotten so use to as well. The noise ...

That made me laugh out loud and about spit water all over the place. Too funny. At least thru your struggles you've retained your sense of humor.Any alcohol consumption turns the bedtime ritual into a field sobriety test

Re: Newbie experiencing headaches now
Pugsy!! My DME would be the one's to consider the pulse ox thing??? I thought about it but figured my doctor would be the one to recommend that. If it is the DME then I'm screwed. They are not very active in my therapy at all. Just getting me the equipment. And they haven't even done a good job at t...

Re: Newbie experiencing headaches now
The humidity level is set at 4. I live in the Phoenix Arizona area and the ambient air is extremely dry. I haven't tried a 5 yet. My sinuses are pretty good. Never really had any issue with them and do not suffer from allergies. The headaches seems to be towards the top area of my forehead and aroun...

Re: Newbie experiencing headaches now
Well, I don't think my straps are too tight. I did have to cinch them down some to reduce leaks but they do not feel too tight. I don't grind or clinch my teeth that I know of. I have not had any spine or cervical pain or issues. I might be covering up the exhaust port somewhat. I did think of that ...

Newbie experiencing headaches now
Hello all! I've only posted a few times since starting therapy about 4 weeks ago. Yet I've read hundreds and hundreds. I've got my myself pretty well trained to my gear and have been able to sleep for 6+ hours each night. My original pressure was 11 and my average AHI was about 7 per night. Diagnose...

Fixed leaks and AHI and vibratory snores increased a lot!!
I went from a few AHI (0.5) and few vibratory snores to a higher AHI and MUCH higher vibratory snores within 6 days. I've got my mask figured out and the average leak rate has lowered plus there have been zero large leaks. Pressure and ramp time and humidity have not changed. See the Encore-viewer n...

Any members from Arizona onboard?
I am looking to chat with some Arizona hose-heads. I am in the Phoenix valley and am looking for a new DME provider plus I'd like to just chat about how you have dealt with the heat and dry air here. Let's chat!!

Re: Did I miss something?
Robysue - That is EXACTLY what my DME told me. They said all they have on their shelf right now is the "older" version of the DS450. It was the "newer" version of the DS250 that I originally had. My DME said they would order the newer version of the DS450 and I should receive it the middle of next w...

Re: Did I miss something?
I'm wondering if the C-Flex is the issue. I'll try that but I really like the C-Flex option. It helped me get thru the first couple weeks. And I did have the C-Flex enabled on the other machine and sound was not an issue.

UPDATE!!! Re: Did I miss something? UPDATE!!!
Well, I received the correct machine yesterday. The Respironics DS450, like I was suppose to have in the beginning, not the DS250. I am totally and completely disturbed at this point! This machine is SO LOUD compared to the other. I can really really hear myself breathe. The machine makes a noticeab...

Re: Did I miss something?
WOW!!! Thanks for the quick replies. I called my DME and told them that I wanted to know what was up with my machine and why I wasn't seeing data. You should have heard the "silence" on the other end when I rattled off all kinds of info and knowledge (thanks to this forum), and told them what I was ...

Re: Did I miss something?
I am guessing I do not have a data capable machine but how do I find out exactly? Or did I already when I downloaded the SD card and there was very little data available.

Did I miss something?
Hello to all of you. I am quite new to CPAP therapy. I have had my machine for 12 days now and am adjusting OK. I do experience leaks and am trying all of the tricks that I have been reading about on this forum. By the way, this forum is absolutely great. I've learned so much since I did my sleep st...
