Re: DME Provider no longer carrying mask..
Thanks for the help everyone...but it looks like shipping costs are not reimbursable. I called the IRS and the guy on the phone had no clue what a cpap machine was..and after about another 5 minutes on hold, he tells me "Publication 502 doesn't say anything about shipping costs.." - Thanks bud. I've...

Re: DME Provider no longer carrying mask..
I know about the >$99 free shipping option..but I don't know that I could buy $100 worth of stuff every month..(My current DME was shipping me a new cushion and filters every month - no shipping charge on that..)

DME Provider no longer carrying mask..
Long story short - my DME provider is no longer going to be carrying the Resmed Quattro FX mask or replacement parts.
Cpap.com has the mask & supplies & whatnot...but the question i have is - is the shipping expense also reimbursable from an HSA?

Re: My story so far...and a question
So I promised an update. Saw the sleep doc this week. I had a 'download' (OMG - it's a printout!! not a download oy...forgive me, I tend to overreact when people misuse geeky terms.. ) from the DME place sent to the office. Kinda went something like this: Doc: How's the treatment? Me: Meh, it's not ...

Re: Was anyone else not allowed to talk to their sleep doctor?
I talked to my PCP about sleep apnea..but never did anything about it. When the heartburn and the tiredness got to be too much, I did a search for local sleep docs, read the reviews and made the appointment directly. I guess I could be considered fortunate because my insurance does NOT require me to...

Re: My story so far...and a question
Others are probably better equipped to answer your questions, but I was wondering ... as someone also new to CPAP, how do you feel overall since starting treatment? Have you noticed many changes? I am feeling better - I can now make the drive to & from work without feeling like I'm going to dose of...

My story so far...and a question
I'm a youngin here - just turned 28. I've been overweight since I was 7 (I was a preemie and wore a size 4T at 6..and then within a year I ballooned). I've had high blood pressure since sophomore year of college and I've been on medication ever since. I had a sleep study done about the same year but...
