Tricare pays to replace my mask and accessories, hose and filters every 3 months. Rumor has it that schedule shifts to every 6 months when retired, but I'll find out soon if that's true.

I clean my mask and humidifier with a 2:1 water/white vinegar solution once a week. I clean my headgear once a month with Woolite in the sink. That's about it, and after 11 months, all is well with me.

My DME provides a new mask (complete with the headgear and all accessories), a new hose and new filters every 3 months. After 11 months, I still have the original machine and humidifier.

I have a ResMed S9 with H5i humidifier, set for 7.0cm2 and I don't use EPR at all. I did when I first got it and my AHI's were high so I stopped using it and the AHI's dropped like a rock. I may try again someday, but if it's not broke...

Every 6 months or so.

I've had my S9 since mid-March and in the last week twice on separate nights it has just shut off while I'm sleeping. It had never done it before. If it happens again in the near future I'm going to contact my therapist/supplier and see if there is something going on... Weird, for certain. I'm going...

I use distilled water. With a 3.0 setting on my H5i and 6-7 hours of sleep a night, 1 tank will last a week. Which times perfectly with me cleaning the tank once a week with distilled water and vinegar.


That's all I got.

There's nothing special about them. You could just use a couple layers of coffee filter, or cut up a piece of furnace filter paper. Looking directly through the filter, you can see holes that are quite large. The standard filter is only capable of retaining particulates like lint, cat hair, etc. Wh...

I have a S9 Elite and its working great for me so far. I've been using it since Mar 20... The biggest factor for me was the mask not the machine. I do better with pillows than a nasal mask.

I now have incentive to get a copy of my sleep studies!

I soak for 30 min in distilled water and vinegar (2:1) once a week and that does it for me.

I'm on #2 and it's working great.

I don't have the Swift FX, but I clean mine once a week with vinegar and DI water.
