Re: how does your doctor react when you change your pressure?
The conversation went something like this: Doc: I see you changed some of the settings. Why did you do that? Me: I wanted to be more comfortable and I wanted to see if I could get more effective treatment. Doc: I'm not sure the FDA would be too happy about that. Me: The FDA is not in charge of my he...

Re: PROBLEM WITH SLEEPYHEAD
I'm not looking to solve the problem - I have no ability to do that.
I simply want to report the problem so that the developer can figure out what to do.

Re: Sore Nose Bridge
I followed all of the advice here without a good result until I visited the dermatologist. You are using an ASV which limits the mask choices you have and also the ways you can adjust the straps. Most of the advice here is from members who don't have these restrictions to work within - it's not bad ...

Why I don't check in with CPAPTalk anymore
The graphics are pretty.
The layout is seductive.
The content is meaningless.

Re: Drinking Alcohol - Effects??
I find this whole CPAP stuff to be so moralistic. Have a drink if it helps you relax. If you are dependent on alcohol then stay away from it. CPAP should make your life better - not make you feel like you must become a monk or a nun to live your life. Don't spend too much time getting "advice" from ...

Re: SleepyHead 0.9.2 for Mac OS X
But, near the end of the progress bar, SleepyHead again unexpectedly quits. I had this problem with an earlier version of SleepyHead but other people reported that they had no problem. I deduced that there was something about the configuration of my Mac that created the problem. It can be very frus...

Re: SleepyHead 0.9 beta sneak preview..
Hi jediMark: Thank you (and Jimbo) for all the work you have put into this project. I know that it started as a way for you yourself to track your therapy but it is already helping many more people. I am using the latest build of the Mac version (v0.9.0 (beta) Build Date: Dec 22 2011 11:42:23) to ke...

Re: Any ASV people actually feel rested?
I think a lot of my issues have to do with the mask rather than the machine. The mask is a a piece of crap interface for this magnificently engineered machine. Every night I have to wear a bandaid on my nose to prevent scarring. I wear a chinstrap to keep my mouth closed and to stabilize the mask du...
