Re: Las Vegas- forgot humidifier hose

You could also try calling a hospital and ask for their central supply office, tell them what you need and maybe they can help you out.

Re: lightest O2 concentrator for 3L bleed in? and buy vs rental

My DME, Pacific Pulmonary Services, has been excellent about my travel concentrators. They even supplied 4 E cylinders for us to take on a back country camping trip at 8700 ft last week (we have a trailer) so we didn't have to run the generator all night to run Big Blue. My doc told me if I was goin...

Re: Dreams

Boy, I'll be happy when I can wake up not remembering dreams. Because my husband and I are on different schedules -he goes to bed at 10 and wakes at 5, I go to bed at 1230 and wake at 730 - when he wakes at 5, I wake up in the middle of nightmares. Awful, depressing, "God I hope that was a dream" ni...

Re: lightest O2 concentrator for 3L bleed in? and buy vs rental

I checked into buying versus renting for life as I use oxygen bleed in too. My insurance - BCBS will NOT buy an oxygen concentrator, so the choice was for us to buy out of pocket versus lifetime rental. We chose rental because then the machine still belongs to someone else, who has to do its regular...

Re: Men with mustaches & beards: Which masks seal on you?

My husband has a nice beard and moustache. He does very well with a Mirage Quattro full fask mask. He tried the Quattro FX and it leaked too much. He started out with nasal pillows (I don't know which type) but felt he had better results with the full face mask.

Re: Balanitis Treatment

Take your son to his pediatrician.
Information from strangers on a sleep apnea website on the internet is not the best way to care for a child.

Re: Just diagnosed

Was your testing purely diagnostic, or did they do some testing of treatments as well? I just wonder because most people don't need additional oxygen while on CPAP. If the only reason your O2 sats are dropping at night is because your airway is collapsing, then if you fix the airway problem, the ox...

Oxygen & Cpap questions from a n00b!

First of all I'd like to say thank you so much to all of you for being the friendliest and most informative cpap site I've found. I've been lurking here since I flunked an in home oximetry test in January and began my life as an oxygen addicted cpap user. I began using oxygen to sleep in Jan 3, and ...
