Re: Medical mediator needed
Well, I am more sympathetic than most. I live remote. Way, way, way out there. Remote island way up North. Ain't no technicians or techies willing or able to help me so I have to figure it all out myself. And, I must confess, it is somewhat confusing. We 'loners' don't have the benefits of townies-o...

Re: Help!
Thanks guys. Since I got back to whining and complaining, I have also gotten back to working harder and it has paid off! Last night 2.0 aps. Leak rate 0. median. 95% at 4.8. Pressure 9.90/11.6/12.00. I think that is pretty good. Pretty damn good for me, anyway. 'Course the eyes are still swollen so ...

Re: Help! Again.....
I suppose it could be the pillows but I don't think so. I managed to get the software and the card working (don't ask how.......I just kept fiddling with it and all of a sudden I could 'read it' again.). Anyway my numbers are great! Virtually no aps. Even the pressure has dropped some. Leaks under t...

Re: Help!
I just looked at the LT vs the Swift FX and tho I can see the difference, it sure doesn't seem like MUCH of a difference. Same looking pillows. But I must admit, I can't quite get a good a seal. I am tempted to try. It was a big difference for you?!

Re: Help! Again.....
Great answers, Robysue. Thanks. How does one get to the 1- to - 6 climate setting? I got there once. Can't figure out how to do it now. I asked for a new card and the mail order supplier sent me something different so I got frustrated. But I just wrote again and asked for a new SD card. We'll see. I...

Re: Help! Again.....
A bit repetitive. Sorry. Two HELP ME! posts. I use a medium pillow. Swift. I tried large. They slipped more. I did not try small. I am average sized. I have an average nose........... I am pretty sure i am 'medium'. I have two 'medium sets'. I change now and then. Not often. No. Not a mouth breather...

Re: Help!
Reading another members question, I saw that Gen Teal (?) was recommended and I'll try that. But the premise of the recommendation is that the tear ducts dry out a bit and so the body overproduces moisture in the eyes................or something like that. If that is the case, then this is a just hu...

Re: Help!
Well, it seems the stats are good. Low aps. Even relatively low leaks. I think now the problem is pressure and humidity. My pressure is set at 12.0 and the data showed a high of 11.8. I had temp at 80 but I am dropping to 74 tonight. I have no idea how to alter humidity. I seem to revall once settin...

Re: Help! Again.....
The card won't 'read'. But I can get onscreen data from the machine, such as it is. It is not as indicative as the card readout was. Still, I'll go about trying to get that back on track. I spent the last week experimenting and ended up strapping a damp facecloth over my eyes and trying that. Eyes w...

Re: Help!
I spent the week 'experimenting' and finally tried a mask over my eyes made from a face cloth. I dampened it to make it cool and, hopefully keep my eyes moist throughout the night. Result? Worse. My were twice as puffy and I was awake at least six times! So the experiment worked! Seems I have too mu...

Help! Again.....
I live on a remote island. Northern Canada. I bought my own machine after renting one from a sleep clinic that determined that I needed one. But, because they could not 'assist' me with any kind of regularity, I got the machine without 'counselling'. My rented machine was set at 12 (whatever that me...

Help!
I had a helluva time adjusting to the mask but, after a year, I am just about comfortable. Not quite. But close. The problems I am having, however, aren't getting any better. My eyes are puffy and swollen and I am just not 'feeling' as if I have had a good rest. But let's put aside the 'rest' proble...

Re: Man, oh man! I need help!
You guys are good! I do have BPH. And I am 'borderline' type 2 Diabetes both of which are supposedly 'under control' (meaning: drugs). But none of that was a problem before. Mind you, I haven't slept well in years so maybe it was. Anyway, they 'added' another diagnosis to the list and I proved to be...

Re: Man, oh man! I need help!
Instructions on snipping seemed good but I didn't get a postable image. I'll keep trying. Added equipment to profile. I wake up to drink and pee mostly. But, for some reason, I also 'just wake up' at about 6:00. Go to bed about 11:30. And, NO. It is not because I am 'finished sleeping'. I am still t...

Man, oh man! I need help!
Been at it two and a half months. Still exhausted. Need help. Started with a Respironics and Swift FX. I was deemed 'severe' at 36 apneatic events an hour. Oxygen levels dipping to 70% a few times. After a week or so, my 'events' were fewer but leaks were bad. All my first month's leaks were over th...
