Re: Requests for website features?
Not to stir the pot, but Sireneh, a newbie just like me, just asked a question about submitting a request. I've been reading this site for a few months now and, at first, thought it a great place for information, help and advice and I've received all three. But while the information may be here, aft...

Re: nasal pillows vs. nasak masks vs. ffm
I lose some air through my mouth during the night but as long as I stay from an AHI of 0.? up to 4.0 I don't plan to use a chinstrap or tape on my mouth. Should the time come when I can't be below a 5.0 I will promptly do so if necessary. I don't plan to chase 0.0 just because it's there (although ...

Re: Looking for a Canadian S8 Autoset w/Humidifer
Thank you for your replies. After consideration, I've decided to purchase a unit from my DME. I guess I'm more comfortable with paying more for the unit than I am with worrying about not being able to look at the unit before purchase and about what would happen if something goes sideways down the li...

Re: Over a year and still no luck.
JJ, I'm so new to this new way of sleeping that I'm probably not "qualified" to offer much technical advice, but what I'm seeing in your post is fright, pure terror. You panic because you're afraid that you might suffocate. I hear that loud and clear. I think I"m perceiving that your rational mind k...

Looking for a Canadian S8 Autoset w/Humidifer
Hi, folks Right now, I'm pretty jealous of you folks down below who can order from cpap.com and places like secondwind.com and not only get great prices, but decent shipping charges (and no customs/brokerage fees! I know it's debatable whether or not they can be charged on medical equipment, new or ...

Re: Rescan Statistics v. Detailed Graph Pressures
Yes, I'm sure that the date and duration are the same, the clock is set correctly, I woke up at 6:00 a.m. and I don't live in Polynesia. Oh, and yes, I turned the iron off, locked the back door and made sure the dogs peed before I loaded them into the truck Not worried about the anomaly, since this ...

Re: Rescan Statistics v. Detailed Graph Pressures
Thanks, mtnboy, I'm more curious than concerned. I must be getting accustomed to being a hosehead, because a couple of weeks ago, I WOULD have been really frightened! Even at 16.7 with the AutoSet, the pressure is much lower than the 19 originally prescribed to me if I'd agreed to CPAP. Numbers show...

Rescan Statistics v. Detailed Graph Pressures
Today, when I viewed last night's numbers, the statistics indicated that my maximum pressure was 16.7. However, there wasn't a point anywhere in the detailed graph that indicated a pressure over (about) 13.
Does anyone know why this discrepancy might occur?
Thanks in advance,
welki

Re: Bragging rights thread. Accomplishments.
Thanks anyway! I'm slowly getting some information from Mike that his pillow feels flatter, that's why he's propping it up with his hand again so I'll try to come up with something to plump it up a bit. I have some extra stuffing somewhere. He's been using this SleePapPillow for quite awhile that h...

Another Chin Strap Option
Maybe this is old news, but I tried using a fleece headband-type earwarmer last night instead of my chin strap. I've tried regular headbands, but they eventually slide forward and/or slip off my head. If you flip it around (under chin and over head) and place the wide parts facing out, they keep you...

Bamboo, shmamboo. When you cut these tights, all sorts of little tiny bits of fiber come loose, looks like black dandruff.
Will be on the look-out for those elusive Micro-Fibre L'Eggs.

Re: First travel experience coming up!
Thanks, Talon! I don't have time to order one in time for the trip coming up, but when I get back, will check out policy for shipments to Canada.
Hmmmm ... I'm heading to Jersey soon, maybe I should order one and have it shipped there. *food for thought*
