Re: Intellipap Question

Emelia I've put on the hose cozy and I've hung the tubing over my head. I tape with the painter's tape and it is intact in the morning. I know I talk in my sleep and caught myself humming the other night. I know we swallow and can clear our throats without opening our mouths. I wouldn't worry about ...

Intellipap Question

The information which came with the Intellipap says in three places that the auto mode has a super sensitive snore detector.

How can I make the snore detector less sensitive in Cpap mode?

My daily reports show almost constant "snoring". My AHI's are below 3 (usually below 1).

Re: CPAP Heretics

Then the Inquisitors ran the DME. They had to burn heretics before they could confiscate their worldly goods to the 3rd generation. So they unearthed the heretic, burned them and then took everything away from the surviving family members. They would continue to harass and tax until the grandchildre...

Re: FIrst graphs from Intellipap

I tried the chin strap until I developed tooth and jaw pain. This was two weeks before the current set of problems.

I use the blue painter's tape and it has been intact in the morning.

Re: FIrst graphs from Intellipap

Thanks Jimbo. I'm going to check out the hangers. I've used the Swift FX for her for three nights now and I really like it. But it didn't do a thing to knock down the snoring. I may be swallowing more with the abscessed tooth Emelia but I checked older records and the 'snoring' has been consistent. ...

Re: FIrst graphs from Intellipap

The AHI for this night was 1.2 per hour at 17cm of pressure. My prescribed pressure was 16cm but the AHI was 37 with that so I upped it to 17 and the AHI dropped consistently to below 3. I do use the ramp but start it at 8.5. Unfortunately, the ramp time (15min) this night showed a snore and in dela...

FIrst graphs from Intellipap

These are a typical night. I would like your interpretations and advice. There is an amazing number of snores I think.
I had blue tape on me this night, and no muffler on the hose.

Re: I can't fall asleep, nothing works.

I hope this doesn't repeat an earlier post which crashed and burned. I suggest a cup of camomile tea, really. A cup after dinner and one before bed. If it is too bitter you could add a little honey or real sugar...no chemical sweeteners. Or look in the supermarket for sleep teas. They usually have l...

Have you had cataract surgery?

I'll probably have one eye done in Sep/Oct and I'd like hear from you.

Did you have to change the type of mask you used immediately post-op?

Regards, Peg

The consumer who received the original package paid for all the parts in full. The second consumer (and maybe the third if asking for different sizes) will also pay for those parts at the highest price allowed for that item. You and your insurance company are paying too much.

Re: What where the results of your first sleep study?

My Dx was Severe OSA. AHI of 94 associated with frequent mild to moderate desaturations and marked sleep fragmentation. The sleep MD also said i had Sleep Onset Insomnia but I told him they expected me to go to sleep at 10PM when my normal was after the late, late show. But I've reformed and get to ...
