Limb Movement monitoring
I just received my sleep report and had a PLMS Index of 9. I can't find any sort of scale to tell me what that means. Can anyone help interpret that number for me?

Really? Well that changes everything. You're sure about that?redjoe wrote:Your PAP doesn't count as a carryon, so you can bring it in addition to your laptop and other bag. You're running out of excuses!

Re: I believe I am addicted.........
Another thing is that I'm flying Delta, who charges extra for checked baggage. I need to bring my laptop and a carry-on bag with clothes enough for a week. I really want to avoid the expense and hassle of checking bags.

Shoot...I forgot to put in my data card...
I took out my card to download yesterday, then never put it back in the machine.
Hopefully the insurance company will be forgiving about things like this when they take a look to evaluate whether or not I've been using it regularly.

Re: I believe I am addicted.........
I know, I know...it's probably a bad idea, but I don't want to deal with it in the airports and I guess I'm a little self-conscious of it and don't want to have to explain what it is to the people at this conference. All the participants will be picked up at the airport and will then be shuttled a c...

Re: I believe I am addicted.........
I'm flying to D.C. for a week long business trip in a couple of weeks, and I'm planning on leaving the CPAP at home. I guess I'll report back how I did sleeping without it for a week.

What do the "Events" numbers mean?
In the detailed ResMed log, the events show up as bars with a number in a box above them. What exactly do those numbers mean? Mine from last night all averaged between 10 and 18, and in the summary sheet it said that I had an apnea index of 2.1 and an AHI of 2.1.

Re: Swift FX rubbed my nose raw
Generally, it's not fit properly if you are having a problem like that. See my fitting tips for the Swift FX in my signature below (or check my blog). Some people find a little bit of NON-petroleum goo helps--Lanisoh, Ayr gel, or KY Jelly. Some poeple swear that it helps with the seal, but I find i...

Re: Should I stick with it or quit?
You'll all be happy to know that I used the CPAP, went to the meeting, and thoroughly impressed my boss. Super!! That's great!! Always good to read of positive experiences. This has to be a real boost for your own morale. It is, and I'm starting to feel better in general from the treatment (I think...

Swift FX rubbed my nose raw
Okay, maybe not raw, but there was some discomfort there from it rubbing on my nose. Anyone else have this problem? More importantly, how do you get rid of this problem?

Re: ResMed software
I use Overwrite with no problems. It does not delete old data. If you download your data after an afternoon nap and then again the next morning after a full night's sleep, you need to Overwrite to get the rest of the data for that day. Otherwise, with Discard, you keep the nap data and Discard the ...
