The Swift FX is a very good choice. I have been using one for 5 years and will replace it with another one when it wears out.

Encore Pro 2 problem
I have not been on the forum for a while as all seems to be going well. Shortly after I joined the forum a little over a year ago I was interested in getting a copy of the software to read my own data from my Resperonics System One Auto. A very nice Lady member (I lost her name) was kind enough to e...

Re: Help! Couldn't use CPAP while congested. Couldn't breathe!
Just a FWIW for those with a System One Auto. If you like me were having runny nose/congestion my sleep Dr said I most likely needed a higher humidifier setting. I was already on 5. He handed me a printout instruction sheet copy from Respironics that told how to turn off the room humidity automatic ...

Re: Resperonics True Blue Nasal Mask
Karen,
Do you plan to have pads for it? I am going to order one. I am using a swift FX with your pads now. Been on CPAP for 4 months. want to try something different to compare the FX to. They say about July 15 arrival for sale.

Resperonics True Blue Nasal Mask
Has anyone here had a chance to pre-release test the mask that Cpap.com is now taking preorders for?

Re: Best Machines
You are not going to get many responses from folks that have experience with more than one of a similar vintage. My Resperonics System One Auto was made in March 2011 and is different than one made in 2010 so even two versions of the same one are different.

Re: WHAT HUMIDIFIER SETTING DO YOU USE?
Mine came set on 5 and I about drowned. I have settled on 1 for now. I am at sea level near the Puget Sound so humidity is pretty high.

Re: Kind of gross, but I gotta know....nasal pillows
I have been on CPAP for three weeks now using a Swift FX and am experiencing the same small bits of blood in my nasal drainage in the morning. I am blowing my nose for a hour or more every morning. I have tried all humidifier settings and for me 1 is best.

CO detectors have a life span of 5 years. If your detector is older than 5 years it needs to be replaced.

The journey begins
My Respironics PR-1 Auto w/heated humidifier and Resmed Swift FX and I spent our first night together last night. I was somewhat apprehensive that it was going to be a long troublesome first night but to my surprise it went pretty well. I had used a Swift original pillow mask for my sleep study so t...

Resmed heated hose on Respironics RemStar Auto
I an getting my equipment tomorrow and have had too much time to think (-: Has anyone besides me given any thought to what it would take to adapt and power a Climateline hose to a Respironics Auto? We keep our bedroom at 62° at night and reading a lot lately I see a lot of discussion about condensat...

Respironics RemStar Pro backlight
I am going to go to a Optioncare (Walgreen) provider soon to get my equipment. Reading here I understand the latest version of the Pro has a backlit screen and that is desirable. How will I know if what they are going to give me has it? Does it have a identifying model number?

Re: Cholesterol medicine side effects with severe Apnea
I also cannot tolerate statins. TERRIBLE leg cramps. I recently got a new general doctor my last one retired after treating me for 34 years. New Dr wanted me to take a statin for my slightly elevated cholestrol. NO WAY says me. He suggested in that case I try Red Yeast Rice from the natural med non-...
